Back story: I'm a 71 year old, my 21 year old autistic grandson came to live with me in 2023. Even though he attends an Adult day are for so many hours a day. I was starting to find myself getting overwhelmed . I reached out to his caseworker to see what was available with helping me . Thats how I found Attentive Angels. My daughter ( he's Aunt) that was already helping me with my grandson was able to get hired with Attentive Angels. It has been such a blessing. She's able to do things outside the house that I can't. They go shopping, to the movies, to the gym, to car shows, visit the Fire Department, go to restaurants for dinner, even stops by for coffee out. Dunkin Donuts is his favorite place for coffee. The best part of all of this was that my grandson didn't have to get use to a stranger . Change can be hard for him. By Attentive Angels hiring his Aunt, everything has gone so smoothly.

Since switching to this agency for PCA and respite services, our experience has been very positive. My son is extremely active and can be a lot to manage, so having consistent, dependable care has made a big difference for our family. April Washington has done a great job working with him and meeting his needs with patience and consistency. One thing I really appreciate about this agency is that they allow families to work with familiar and trusted caregivers while still maintaining regular check-ins and oversight. Even with that flexibility, communication has been clear, expectations are set, and we never feel like we’re on our own once services are in place. Scheduling has been flexible, the agency has been easy to work with, and the ongoing check-ins give us confidence that everything is being handled professionally. Overall, this agency has been supportive, reliable, and genuinely helpful, and I’m very glad we made the switch. I would highly recommend them to other families looking for quality PCA or respite services.

I would like to share about my Personal Aid Assistant for my son. Her name is Robin Singleton. First, I don't know how she does it all, but she does a great job with my son. She is always on time . She comes to work and not to play around. She keeps my son on schedule with his meds, meals, and bath. Secondly, She is always joyful and professional. She has healthy boundaries and respect my home. Finally, You need to pay her more !! She deserves so much more. I don't want to know what I would do without and don't want to know!!

Being a special needs parent comes with many challenges, but having someone come in our home and give us peace of mind when we have to step away from our daughter for a much needed break or for everyday life, to care for her, is our saving grace. Our Caregiver, Jennifer Longshore, is a blessing to our girl and our family. She has been with us for 9 years and is always dependable and trustworthy. Watching our girl’s face light up when her “Aunt Jennifer” walks in is reassuring for us as her parents when we have to be away from her. I am so grateful that Carolyn Lacey is able to be the caregiver for my son/her grandson. Attentive angles has done a great job working with her. I am so pleased and blessed by the flexibility this offers and affords me as it takes a village.
