Excellent Care, Just Needs Better Administrative Support Overall, the facility is always clean, and the staff members are friendly and attentive. Denise Smith is an absolute asset to this facility! She is incredibly caring, outgoing, and dedicated to her job. She has been doing a great job with my mother. However, they are frequently short-staffed. This has been the only times there have been care issues. I truly hope the administration addresses this hiring need soon to support their hard-working team and make this an even better facility overall.

My mother has been a patient here for over 2 1/2 years. Demika is a nurse there and the very first person I met when I was searching for a place for my mother to live. She knows everyone and keeps a close watch on unfamiliar faces. She is one of the main nurses on her hall. She is very loving to all patients and she treats them all like family. I just wanted to send a shout out about her and how thankful I am to have her there. The staff work very long hours and care for our loved ones when we are not present. I feel safe and I know my mother is surrounded by people who love and care for her.

I’m a long term patient here for almost 9 years. They have some of the best Nurses and "CNA here. The best one is Damika She has been a good part of my stay. She is my day shift on 400 Hall. She has time to stop and listen to you. She make sure my medication is fine after I get back from the hospital. She is about the only that checks my water in the consonant. The others when I ask them to check it. My nose get so dry that I can’t breather. She comes to check on you when there is an emergency. She is just one great nurse. My best friend Billie and I use to tailgate in front the the tag room. We would get food by families. Some times we will have a bunch of that came the food got there. So we started getting food that had come in a box. We had a few people come and root for Big Al and the great Crimson Tide. she would come in and check on us. The activity department is great and Gingrper is a very compassionate help. She comes and sees in my bed some times and will do my nails if I want them done.

This facility exceeded every expectation, and it’s clear that the team is made up of truly hardworking and dedicated professionals. We were especially fortunate to have Nurse Keola James caring for my relative. Her attentiveness, compassion, and genuine passion for her work stood out from the very first visit. She kept us informed every step of the way, explained everything with clarity and patience, and made sure all of our questions were answered with kindness and understanding. Nurse James consistently went above and beyond to ensure my relative was comfortable, supported, and in excellent hands. Her presence brought our family so much peace of mind during a difficult time. We truly could not have asked for a better nurse. I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Nurse James for the exceptional care she provided—her future in this field is undeniably bright. I would confidently recommend Aspire to anyone seeking quality care and compassionate staff.

We spent a full 21 days at Aspire Hoover. We were in the Vulcan unit 100. I am a detail oriented person and I wanted to remember every person who made our stay successful. My husband had a broken hip and other medical issues so I chose to stay with him during his stay. I had a unique vantage point to observe how this facility operated. Our staff included RN Keola & PCA Shakita and their caring nursing staff RN Teresa and our PCA on night duty were terrifc. RN Alexa on weekends saw that there was quality care all 7 days a week . The unit Manager RN Peyton, Nurse Practitioner Kiley and Dr Burch made sure our medical needs were addressed and met. We also met Van RN, the head of nursing service. She was quick to answer questions we had. I also observed her training a group of PCAs and was most impressed in her thoroughness of instruction as well as caring for patients. The Physical and Occupational Therapy staff was wonderful. The head of the Therapy dept,Rachel , along with Jimmy, Conner, Ryan and others were clear with their instruction and made sure that my husband was medically safe as well as helping restore his physical ability. I was fearful moving to a new facility after 3 weeks in the hospital. My fears were unfounded. John the head administrator dropped in to met even on the first weekend. He was very accessible and he was a visable throughout our stay. The social worker helped with the transition home. Appts were made before we left. My family visited often and said it looked like we were in a high end hotel. I realize no place is 100% but for our needs this place was perfect! I highly recommend Aspire.
