My mom has been here for 10 months, and although, she was resistant at first, she loves it now. I love how this place is both nonrestrictive, but can offer modified nursing plans for individualized needs. It is a wonderful and special in its category.

This place is exquisite! The staff is extremely trustworthy. One of their tenants helps me sell collectables and I lost almost 10K worth. Mary and Hunter both made sure my items weren’t stolen and 3 days later they had them safely in their office for me. I cannot express my level of gratitude for these amazing people who work here!

Asher Point is great. Mary was very helpful and nice. The one thing that makes this place even better is Hunter the sales and marketing director. He always went above and beyond. He was always helping even if it wasn’t his job. I can’t say enough good things about Asher Point. This is a great place for your loved ones.

Please be aware that this facility has ZERO oversight by any elder care watch groups. I learned this from the county ombudsman. He wished he could help me but advised independent living facilities skirt any rules regarding how the elderly are treated or cared for. Additionally, there is an in house care giving group called the Angels of Mercy that is a separate charge from the rent to live there. They have No oversight either. This hack agency is owned by one nurse and she employs a handful of people who are not medically trained, nor have any compassion for the elderly. It's just a job to them.

I selected the highest care plan available for my disabled Mom. ($1500 a month extra) My Mom wore diapers because she was unable to walk or sit on a commode without falling off. She could not take a shower nor could she hold her own toothbrush. I was told the "Angels" would be her physical support with all these needs. I was assured they could handle her. However, more than once my Mom sat in wet or "full" diapers for more than 10 hours. I paid for her to have wellness checks every two hours. Apparently I was mistaken when I thought that meant they would change her pants. She would be chastised for asking for her diapers to be changed. I lived over an hour away but would go there each day to brush her teeth because they would not. If I ever had to go out of town for work, my Mom would not get her teeth brushed for up to 5 days. I placed an electric toothbrush on her kitchen table for her to try to do it in between my visits ..but someone would always push it too far back so she could not reach it. My Mom nearly died on on their watch...in 6 months she was admitted to the hospital twice because because no one on duty recognized she was burning up with a fever as a result of a severe UTI...brought on by dirty diapers. I took her out of there after only 6 months because I could not trust any of the Angels to be smart enough, or caring enough to ensure her safety. For example, One night my mom, who could only sleep on her back, and unable to sit up without assistance, vomited throughout the night, as a result of the uti. She nearly aspirated. She used her call button but no one ever came. In the morning when her assigned lady came she again was chastised by saying nothing was wrong with her..yet it was clearly visible she had vomit in her hair, on her shirt and in the bed. Later that day she was taken by ambulance to the hospital. I was out of town and had to watch the whole thing on camera after they called me for permission to call 911. That was the last time. We broke our lease, paid the penalties and got the heck out of there. PS..If you do decide to place someone there...please please please...install cameras...What you see the staff "not do" while they are with your Mom or Dad will curl your toes. How disrespectfully they talk to the residents will enrage you. But that's only if they don't cover the camera or move it around like they kept doing to ours. I ended up taping ours in place so it couldn't be moved. That's when they would start throwing clothes over it....I could speak through the camera and would tell them to move the cover...I wish I had an answer to where to place your loved one. But all I know is if your person needs any kind of assistance....this is not the place for them. If they merely want an overpriced apartment in which they get three meals a day..this place would be ok. If they have any kind of dementia or brain impairments....this is NOT the place. I was told by Hunter (the salesman) they don't keep track of them....If they leave the premises.. they are not looked for nor made sure they are back in their apartment. We took a gamble and lost. I hope to help others avoid the same.
