I wrote a refundable check to The Crossings for $1500. I then had to move to another state and asked for a refund. It has been many months since Lisa Tinney said I would receive the refund. I have called several times and left a message for Ms. Tinney but have never received a call back. I would not suggest putting down a deposit at the Crossings despite their insistence that you do so. Refundable seems to be a relative term at The Crossings at Riverchase.

After this review, I received my refund (after 4 months). I also received a very nasty email from Lisa Tinney. She was particularly enraged that I had used her name (“I am reaching out to you as I am extremely concerned that you used my name in the negative review and in doing so touted incorrect information.” ) Did she just called me a liar? Ms. Tinney is the only person with whom I dealt at The Crossings. At the closing of her email she says, “I hope you were able to resolve this matter with Misty…”. I don’t know anyone named Misty and have never been contacted by Misty. In her email she says “ For my part when you made the decision to not move to The Crossings after many efforts on our part to make arrangements to assess you on two occasions, spend the time and effort to take the repeated phone calls from your husband and you in order to do our due diligence in order to make a move happen to our community, you ultimately then rescinded your decision to move.” I guess it must have inconvenienced her greatly to do what I presumed was her job as the Director of Sales. Had she followed up with me, she would have known that I had indeed planned to move to the Crossings, but my husband became very ill and subsequently died forcing me to change my plans and move out of state to be near my family. I would welcome any details proving that I have in any way misrepresented myself or Ms. Tinney. Until that time, I stand by these statements.

Lisa Tinney could not have been any nicer, welcoming and informative. Crossing at Riverchase was absolutely beautiful. Everyone we met was so friendly. The activities offered were abundant and the meal menus looked delicious. I would highly recommend this community for any loved ones.

They evicted my MIL within three weeks of moving her into assisted living. When I originally meet with them I asked to see both memory care and assisted and told them I would like assisted but most likely she would need to be in memory care. The sales lady said well let’s do her evaluation first so we did and she passed so she never showed us the memory care. Before moving in I called and told her we had decided to go ahead with memory care because we knew she would be difficult but she said it will be fine and we will put her next to nurses station. Well she was difficult and they evicted her and said they did not have a space open in memory care. They did not refund any of our deposits or the few days we moved her out before then of the month because that was paid as promised.

Lisa Tinney was immeasurably helpful to me on 10/16/24. I am looking for a memory care facility for my brother. Ms. Tinney’s facility has a long waiting list for memory care, so Ms. Tinney gave me the name and number of an assisted living consultant as well as a referral to two other memory care facilities. She also invited my husband and me to two events The Crossings is hosting in November to describe The Crossings, as my husband and I are looking at independent living facilities. These actions lightened my load considerably.
