I'm so grateful for the care my brother is receiving from Aviata. Everyone has been friendly and professional. Mary at the front desk goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable. Thank you for helping those that are at their most vulnerable.

Worst place ever… the staff do virtually nothing!! Brought remote with no batteries in it to nurse desk asking for batteries.. they left, came back k and said they don’t have any… said they would do a work order and left. Didn’t even ask what room!!! No communication at all…. Just sloppy..

I'm not at all happy with the hospice respite care my husband received. He has mild dementia and is impulsive. At Avita he received no attention. There was no attempt to have him socialize. No attempt to coax or assist him to eat. No physical therapy When he rang for assistance there was no rush to help him toilet. He fell. Possibly because he needed to go to the bathroom. They did not X-ray him until two days later. He has a broken hip. He is back in the hospital. Furthermore the facility did not look very clean. His bathroom was not very clean. The floor of his room also was not clean. 😢

The overall staff has very little care for the residence there. There are less than 5 staff that are kind and try every time to assist the needs that on a daily basis are not met. My mother is a resident there and every time I go, she is laying in filth, her others and floor covered in waste. This has to stop. There is zero compassion or love of the job abd what it is that they are there to do for some residence who have no one.

My dad was referred here after emergency surgery. Admissions was simple, and the director greeted us kindly. THE BAD: the facility itself is very run down—the odor when you walk in, the chipped paint, and the worn furniture make the environment difficult at first. The photocopied paperwork we received was also hard to read, and we waited several hours before anyone came to orient us. THE GOOD: I MUST EMPHASIZE, the staff works VERY hard and are so caring. My dad is fairly independent but does struggle with pseudo-dementia, and they were incredibly patient and gentle with him. He actually felt so comfortable that he wanted to stay longer. CONCLUSION: While the building needs updates, the staff’s kindness and compassion truly stand out—and that's why I WOULD recommend this place to other patients needing care.
