What Families Think

Apria Healthcare's Kennewick location handles home medical equipment and hospice-related supplies, but the overwhelming majority of the 184 Google reviews describe serious problems with billing, communication, and timely delivery of needed equipment. A few families report a positive experience with a specific staff member who helped quickly during a medical emergency, but this appears to be the exception rather than the rule.

The Good

  • One staff member praised for fast, personal emergency support
  • Delivered oxygen equipment same-day after hospital discharge in one case

The Bad

  • Multiple reports of surprise or delayed bills months later
  • Several reviewers describe hours-long waits with unresponsive customer service
  • Reports of equipment orders delayed weeks despite urgent medical need
  • Customers say problems routed through separate billing and shipping companies with no resolution

To many middle men (different companies i.e. them, billing, shipping ), always some other middleman can help but the person your talking to can't. No wonder healthcare is so. Expensive when you pay people to answer phone but no one can do anything cause it's some other department/ company.

Margaux at Apria in Kennewick WA has been so helpful. My mother had a breathing issue that put her in the hospital and on oxygen for the first time in her 84 years! I did not know how to get started on this journey. I was given Margaux name and phone number. They were at our home when my mother’s was released from the hospital. They brought a home unit, a tank and a portable unit and miles and miles of hose. Margaux helped me clear up some travel issues for my mother, for her return to Arizona later this year. Margaux and her staff have been amazing! I will Apria to anyone who asks me.

I'd give zero stars if I could. The Kennewick branch isn't the problem, its the company as a whole. Try not to get involved with this business unless you like having them drop out of your network without warning, randomly send you $600+ dollar bills, not process payments for over a month, and then send bill after bill after bill for services from over a year earlier. They never truly "close" an account, so once they have your email, they'll just keep billing you. Lord forbid you ever set up and autopay or autoship for supplies. Worst mistake I've ever made was getting involved with this scam-filled business. Oh! And did I mention you can't just walk in and talk to a human. You have to play the third-party international phone call game. Where they can't actually solve your problem. Just stay away from Apria. Its a nightmare.

Take your business elsewhere if you need timely professional help and don’t want to pass away while waiting for them to respond. I suffer from respiratory disease and recently caught Covid 4 weeks ago. My primary care office ordered two devices through Apria, 3 weeks ago to help me breathe. They have confirmed they received the order and have the equipment at their store. They stated they would call me back multiple times and get the devices to me ASAP. Here we are 3 weeks later and now they just don’t answer the phone anymore. I’ve since had to go to the urgent care and the hospital. Now I’m going through another company that actually wants to do their job and will have the device delivered to me today. These people deserve a 0 for their work ethic and 0 for just being bad people. Why be in an industry geared towards helping people and then not help anyone. They leave you with the feeling they rather have you die than have to lift a finger to even answer the phone. These staff members moral compass is obviously out of whack.

This company is the perfect example of life in America. A medical company can do anything they want to you and there's nothing you can do. Hours on customer service to find out that even though all the mistakes were theirs (sending my supplies to the wrong address so I never got them, sending incorrect supplies, and not telling me for SIX months that I owed money before sending a HUGE bill), tough luck for me, supervisors don't exist and nothing will be fixed. The supposed customer service representative lied to me repeatedly and then acted like I was absolutely nuts when I politely pointed out the lie. Seriously, I was so nice to her the whole time. It was insanity, I wish I could give negative stars. How are these people still in business?
