Please don’t put your loved one here it’s not a good place at all. They have had staffing issues and certain residents don’t get the care they need right away or at all certain times where they might be forgotten and left unattended.

I rarely do reviews but felt obligated for public safety to write this and I was so appalled. I’m still thinking about it Six months later. If you do not want your loved one to go to memory care prematurely, do not go to American House, formally Beach House. Tracy, the head, Nurse, who we call Nurse Ratchet destroyed the chances of my mother going to this facility, which would have been extremely convenient. The facility is nice, but this nurse wanted to put my mother into memory care. She’s only in the first stages of Alzheimer’s. The facility that she’s been in since February of this year will not put her in memory care because she’s “not even close to being ready.” Nurse Tracy treated her like she was an imbecile. She stared at her at the table, not saying a word just looking into her eyes as if my mom was in an interrogation. It scared my mom and she asked “what is this. I want to leave.” This was the indication for Tracy to put her in memory care. I asked to see memory care. With reluctantly, I was brought up to the unit. Memory care at this facility is a drug induced lockdown. Period. End of story. Since then, I have spoken to two locals who removed their loved one from the facility because of Nurse Tracy. We left appalled and frankly frightened for the residents. You are the only advocate for your loved one. Make sure to choose the right place.

the best ever!!! your loved one is very safe. great staff, great food, fabuolous activities lots of fun for residents and family is encouraged to participate with lots of fun family activities

My mom has been at this facility for over 4 years and it has been the best experience! Wonderful and caring staff, amazing food and so many activities. Residents are number one priority! It is so warm and inviting. I knew from the minute I walked in it was the perfect fit!
