Took Mom to Church. Picked her up and when to her favorite Church and a fun Lunch. Happy to return and get some rest. She is well looked after and cared for. It put myself and Brother and Sister at ease.

We came here for a tour to see if it would be the right fit for our family member and we met with Angelina who was nice but seemed to try and rush us through seeing everything which was really weird. We were never able to stay still and look around for longer than a few seconds. I didn’t see a single staff member or aid with any of the residents in the entire time I was there. Even walking by the residents, Angelina never spoke to them. I saw people sitting by themselves with no interaction. There is a garden but it’s just a basic yard with some benches and a gazebo. The walkway was cement with a lot of bumps and cracks so walkers would have a hard time getting down there despite them claiming that people have the ability to go down there whenever they want. There was a rec room that 40 people were crammed into with one tv and not one staff member. There was a Zumba class on the tv and when I asked if the rec team was real people or just the tv recreation she said “yes we have people” but I never saw anyone go in with them.

Their lowest tier are three beds to a single room and that’s the only room they reserve for medicaid beds. Their “semi private” rooms are just double bed rooms. Bathrooms looked unrenovated and old.

After we saw the facility, we got brought to a conference room in the memory care unit to talk to Christine who was an absolute demon to sit across from. She was defensive at every single question we asked, spoke over us, interrupted us constantly- trying to answer our questions before we finished them, and then had the nerve to tell us taking care of a parent is a lot and that we have lives so we shouldn’t feel bad if we put our parents in the home. She also kept reminding us that we would need to place a deposit before they could even consider doing an assessment on our parent.

They only seemed interested in our money honestly. The vibes were off and no one inside the facility seemed happy. We won’t be bringing our parent there and highly recommend the people who put their parents in there currently to check on them.
