The psychiatry unit where my dad was at seemed to be about 80 years behind the times. His bed had a thin mattress that was plastic. Holes in his walls. TV that had no remote. And didn’t work. Worst facility I have seen yet.

I wanted to share my experience at Ambassador Healthcare. I was there for rehab to help me get back home, and they did a great job. They have special services like vent care and dialysis, which really helped me feel safe knowing they could handle everything I needed in one place. Even though doing therapy and rehab isn't always "fun," the people there made it much better. The best part about this place is the staff. They really listen and talk to you so you know what is going on. You can tell they aren't just doing a job—they actually care and want to see you get better. It felt like they were there for the right reasons. If you need a place that is kind and knows how to take care of serious health needs, I would definitely recommend them.

They told me my uncle was good and could walk 18 steps and only needed help getting up out of the chair so I picked him up on Friday and the fact is he could not walk that far he couldn’t even stand for more then 30 seconds I expressed the the nurse that was in his room the head nurse of that section and again up front on all 3 occasions I was told the doctor said he is good to go home I spent all night Friday with him after picking him up and then all day Saturday I had to change him 17 times they did not do a good job and helping rehabilitate him and the food he couldn’t even stand not hold down I would never recommend anyone to go their it’s horrible they let his set in his own poop for the whole day this place should be shut down

I used Ambassador for Respite care for my
Mother because they accept patients who sleep with a ventilator. The staff seemed
Nice and all of these facilities are basically the same, it looked ok.
I called daily while I was away and was told she was fine. When I went to pick her up, I called to let them know I was on my way and I was told She was fine and she was absolutely not fine. I arrived and they had her on 10L of oxygen and her oxygen saturation was 88 when she usually requires 2L and her saturation is 96-99.why she wasn’t taken to the hospital who knows? She had a 101
Temperature. Wow, she was dirty, had not been bathed, and her hair looked like Don King, some of her clothing items Went Missing which they said they’d call me if they found her stuff, but no one ever called. No biggie because clothing can be replaced and I’m sure it’s hard to keep track of every item with so Many other patients. I can’t image how she was treated on days where they were not expecting family to see her. I Picked her up and she required Hospitalization. she had pneumonia, was given antibiotics and they changed her nebulizer medication and she was admitted. It was very disappointing because this facility is closer For me to use but NO, I don’t recommend this facility. Super unimpressed. This facility was recommended to me by a visiting nurse and when She was scheduled To come
Do her home Visit I told her not to recommend this facility to other families. I now take her all the way to Ft Wayne when I need Respite help. It’s much further away but her she got daily PT here and was treated great.
