I wouldn’t even give them one start but it’s the only way I cld write a review. My father was moved there from Quincy Illinois due to it being the only VA contracted facility w an available bed in the area. He has been in steady decline for about 5 days and drasticly the last 2 days. I made the 2 hr drive there and back and then went again yesterday to see his hospice nurse. She told me he may have a week max and that is pushing it that if she were me she’d advise me to stay close maybe contact family so that we cld swap out being w him. All the day staff told due to his condition there was no limit on my being there. Last night around 1230a I went to sit in the lobby a while so my dad cld have some quiet peaceful rest as he had been sitting on the side of his bed stuggling to breath for countless hours. At 230a I was told my a staff member that I needed to leave I could not stay there my day was not going to die in the next 24hrs and told me to leave and this I got in my car at 230 am and drove the 2 hrs home bc I had nowhere there to stay. Thanks to that I may never see my dad alive again nor have the chance to say good bye bc I was not going to wake him when he had finally fallen asleep. Zero stars I give that place negative stars and they have caused me such unneeded grief that I only hope the worst for that person who made me leave.
