I was there for a month for rehab<br>I was put on the floor with the permanent elderly patients in a nursing home setting. The care was awful and unprofessional. The only good part was the therapy.

I would NOT recommend this place to my worst enemy. My father was sent there after a seizure and hospital stay. He arrived on a Sunday. That night I got a call two nurses dropped him to the floor but he was ok. I went up Monday and he was complaining his neck hurt, you could see there was something wrong. I asked if they could get an X-ray I was advised they would. Tuesday still in terrible pain asked about the X-ray I was advised again they would schedule it. Finally Wednesday still in pain plus was getting sick, pneumonia was setting in so I demanded they send him to the ER. Get there did X-rays turns out his neck was BROKEN! They left an 84 year old man lay in bed for 3 days with a broken neck. Then had the audacity to call me the next day and ask if I wanted to pay $1000 to keep his room I said no. He had to have an 8 hour surgery and ended up with plates and screws in his neck. Unfortunately after the surgery his body didn’t recover and he passed away. And there’s not a damn thing I could do. I don’t have a problem with the rehab center they are amazing but the skilled nursing center is the most disgusting, inhumane and uncaring facility I ever encountered. I make sure I tell anyone I know that is looking for care to stay away from this place. Also the aides have the worst bed side manner. Every time I went he kept saying I got yelled at again I accidentally hit the call button. The one day the aide didn’t know I had arrived and was about to yell at him.

One of the better run facilities in the area. It is clean, well kept, and the patients are treated well. The therapists are knowledgeable and treat the patients with dignity. It is also an easy-to-get-to location in the Scranton area.
