As a healthcare provider, I’ve had the pleasure of working with the team at Alden. We refer our residents here because we know they will receive excellent care - both in nursing and therapy. Kristin with PT is great and is always easy to work with. Our continued partnership is successful because of the great communication from the team, thank you to Aaliyah in social services for always working with us as we find the right level of care for our residents.

My grandma was a resident at Alden Poplar Creek for 8 years during her battle with dementia until her recent passing. The staff on the memory care unit were exceptional in caring for her over those 8 years. They really took the time every day to ensure her needs were met and always were good with communicating with my family on her progress. Denise, RN was the most caring nurse I have ever met and really knows her residents. Even as her dementia progressed and her behaviors got worse at times they always kept us in the loop on their decisions of her care and made sure she got the best care possible. Thank you to all the staff at Alden Poplar Creek for everything!

My father is here for rehab and the staff have been very nice. The management team has been responsive They are available after hours which we’re grateful for because we also work business hours so it’s nice to be able to text or call managers after hours. The therapy is so good here too! They are Also always available for me to get updates on my father.

The disparity of reviews here is the real story - it tells you something. These rehab places are difficult to manage. This one, by far, has had many, many administrative problems. When we arrived with our loved one, the “leadership,” if you could call it that, was almost non -existent - never coming to work, working from home, always unattainable by phone, and when they did come to the office, they were disorganized, professionally-disheveled and, as to the insurance person, outright rude. We also had to keep abreast of the nursing staff to make sure that they were caring for our loved one properly. Most of all, they discharged our loved one prematurely. We had also heard from the hospital that our loved one was treated at that another patient was actually being transported to this same rehab facility and mid-transport, they denied that person entry (and not for insurance purposes). That tops the bar for unbelievable. Much of the administrative staff was fired after we left; no surprise. But the new staff is probably not much better.
