Since the facility has been taken over by new owners I have seen a lot of improvements & expect they will continue to improve as time goes on. When my daughter first got there the place was, indeed horrible. Mice, roaches, holes in the walls & I spent all my time trying to find something better & closer to where we live. At the time there were no beds available anywhere & this was the only place we could find. It literally caused me so much anxiety for my daughter’s safety & well being, but there was no choice. But NOW? The improvements in not just the physical appearance of the facility but in the staff they have hired moving forward are remarkable. Not perfect but a far cry from when she first arrived there. The new owners seem to actually care about their investment AND the people living there. The staff are really trying to improve the experience of entering a rehab/nursing home for the patients. It’s been a slow process to be sure, but they’re getting there. I have since found a place closer to our home but I honestly think that if they continue to improve & continue to learn more about ‘the business’ (because, let’s be honest, that is what this is) they will be a more than ok facility in the future. I hope I’m right for the sake of the patients there. There’s still a massive amount of work to be done there but I hope, for the sake of all the people living there that it will keep improving.
