Both of my parents were residents at A Country Place: dad for about 5 months until he died, and mom for almost 6 years. The smaller, more intimate facility (max 24 residents) allows the staff to have better attention to the residents and really get to know them. The administrator is easily accessible whenever I’ve had a question or concern, and helpful in guiding through the hospice process when it was needed. I have found he will advocate for the needs of his residents when needed. The goats, pig, chickens, and peacocks are fun to see and fresh eggs for breakfast is a wonderful plus!<br><br>We have had a great relationship with everyone at A Country Place who treat the residents like family. I recommend you check out this facility.

Our parents moved to A Country Place in 2020. At age 96, Dad passed peacefully in the room he shared with Mom, assisted by caregivers from Hospice and ACP. Six years later, Mom passed (age 95) after a full day of relished meals, word-search puzzles (her favorite), chair yoga, songs, and the weekly visit from a Catholic Eucharistic Minister. She was truly happy and well cared for in this homelike assisted living facility. As Mom's Alzheimer's journey progressed, the staff was patient, attentive, respectful, and kind. And loving. Mom would frequent tell us that she loved all of her friends there.<br><br>When the staff identified an issue with either parents' well-being, we were immediately notified. Thanks to the experience of staff members, medical issues were often identified early and quickly addressed. Further -- and of high priority -- Rob and his staff were consistently, reliably responsive; our calls and texts were answered promptly, and our visits were always welcomed. We are deeply grateful for the Loomis family and their dedication to their residents -- and especially for their care of our parents.

My mom was a resident at A Country Place for about a year and half until she passed in Jan 2026. The staff truly cares and the residents get the attention that they need. It was a welcome change from the big corporate ALF that she had been in prior. Rob, Nancy, Glori, and the staff are dedicated and always happy to help.

The workers here are mean to the older people. They let just anyone give medical stuff like shots and medication without a license even if it’s their first week there with no experience.

Finding the right place to care for a loved one with dementia or Alzheimer’s can be overwhelming, but I am beyond grateful to have found A Country Place Assisted Living for my mother. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this wasn’t just another facility — it’s truly a home, built on love, compassion, and genuine care.<br><br>The concept of having a working farm on-site, where fresh eggs from their own chickens are used to help sustain the residents, reflects the thoughtful, nurturing environment they’ve created. It’s small details like these that show just how much heart goes into everything they do.<br><br>The most important thing for me is knowing my mom is safe, happy, and well cared for — and at A Country Place, they go above and beyond every single day. I’ve always been a strong advocate for my mom, and it’s a huge relief knowing that even when I’m not there, she has people in her corner who treat her like family and advocate for her as if she were their own.<br><br>The owners, Rob, and his mom, Nancy, are simply outstanding. No matter the time of day, they are always available to answer any questions or concerns I may have. Their responsiveness and true dedication bring a level of peace of mind that words can’t fully express.<br><br>When my mom had to spend some time in rehab after a fall, Rob personally brought her flowers and clothes, visited her, made sure everything was up to par, and kept me informed about how she was doing on days I couldn’t be there. His genuine care and attention gave me a level of comfort and trust that you just don’t find in larger facilities. This is exactly what sets A Country Place apart — it feels like family, not a business.<br><br>The staff, the cooks, and even the residents are all genuinely happy and full of life. It’s clear that the atmosphere here is supportive, loving, and truly special.<br><br>After a long and difficult search, I can confidently say there’s no better place for my mom. I am forever thankful to have found A Country Place. They have given me and my family something priceless: true peace of mind.
