My mom suffered here during Covid. My mom contracted Covid from a staff member or resident since she never left the building. During her illness, family was not able to visit and she was confined to her apartment. She received no care or help from this place during her illness. She was also hard of hearing and I couldn't communicate to her about the situation nor did they provide any assistance with that. My mom declined very rapidly from the experience and eventually needed to step up to assisted living. Mews was very reluctant to offer anything and I eventually decided to take her elsewhere. Be aware that this "community" like many others do not offer a clear path to assisted and do not offer nursing levels of care. They are just money machines and will drain the bank account giving you no choice but to move your family member to another facility.

My friend Claudie Schuler was a resident at Woodbury Mews from January of 2024 to June of 2024. Claudie passed away on June 15th 2024 at the age of 95. The nurse's aide Pam, took great care of my friend during her stay there. Claudie's last two weeks at the Mews were spent in bed. I was at her side every day from 11 in the morning until 5 in the evening. When Pam was working, I was at ease. I knew she was taking great care of Claudie. She would come in every half hour to 45 minutes to check on her lips, her skin and her condition making sure that she was comfortable. Pam's compassion and care is genuine and she inspired me to volunteer at the Mews. I am in my third year of volunteering in activities and it's a blessing to bring happiness to the residents. Pam is truly an angel as I watch her interact with the residents over the last 2 years. Some of the residents' children have mentioned to me what a blessing Pam has been to them. Helpful attentive staff, a comfortable facility, and that comes with a large, nice community. Not to mention, Ryan who helped us as caretakers through a tough transition for my father with grace and kindness. We’re very happy that our dad is at Woodbury Mews

3.5 stars -My sister is in a lovely Effic'y Apt. here- very Sunny inside... Sm. Kitchen, br, lg.bdrm&Living rm.Too! Very nice friendly ppl. at desk & free to walk around once inside.👍🏼There's a train track adjacent to property, her Apt. its directly in front of it. Apparently it still goes by every morning at the same time (I was told loudly blowing Horn-'Eye roll'! *When they show Place during the day -"No Sounds"!)<br>Update 2.14.26:<br>I've been told the Cooks do NOT speak English, also Do Not even know how to cook an egg Sunny Side Up! 😳 Real communication problem here with Kitchen help! Hearing Food related complaints every time I go! ( I nean we Got to Eat right?? ..Ugh!)<br><br>Apparently she likes it there and has Still has her Freedom! I had personally never tasted the food but my sister really knows how to cook- she wasn't crazy for the fish the one day, due to a 'lack of seasonings'. I don't know Why these folks can't get English speaking help here?? Almost everyone in there now speaks English- accept the Food employees!!!! WHY?? CAN THEY TRAIN THEM to Cook a bit BETTER??? GEEEEZE...<br><br>Having helped a friend in 5 nursing homes, I really liked This place by Far, So did my family! She's Very Special to All everyone so we want the Best for Her! Hopefully, it Is As good as it is perceived. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
