About Windsor Medical Center

Windsor Medical Center Inc is a family-owned assisted living and nursing care facility in North Canton, Ohio, with nearly 60 years of experience serving the full spectrum of senior living needs. The facility offers assisted living, extended nursing care, rehabilitative services, and an adult day services program.

The community's care model centers on person-centered attention, with highly trained licensed professionals equipped to address residents' specific physical needs. Staff coordinate with each resident to ensure spiritual needs are fulfilled, and the facility creates an environment intended to nurture the whole person—mind, heart, and body. Windsor offers options for couples who wish to live together, tailoring solutions whether their care needs are similar or different.

As a locally owned operation, decisions affecting care are made at the facility rather than in a remote corporate office, which the community states leads to quicker response times and better outcomes. The facility employs over 150 staff members, with notably high staff longevity that exceeds industry averages. Private accommodations are available, and residents may decorate their apartments with personal furniture and family memories.

Life enrichment activities include planned activities, a library, and dining services. The facility's admissions process includes assistance from an Admissions Coordinator to help ease the transition, with a security deposit required to hold a room and documentation obtained from the applicant's primary care physician.

I can't begin to articulate my appreciation for everything my parents do for my parents. My parents are my best friends so I want the best for them and Windsor exceeds my expectations. All the staff is so friendly and caring. Nurses go above and beyond. The chef came out and prayed with my mom in the dining hall when my dad was taken by ambulance to the hospital. I could go on and on, but my dad sums it up best when he states (every time I visit) that he and my mom are treated like royalty. They are content and happier than they were when they were living at home the past couple of years. It is a relief for me and my brothers to know they are happy and well cared for. If there were 10 stars I would give them 10! I've worked in skilled nursing facilities and Windsor is the cream of the crop.

This place literally Killed mom!!! The place is a "Dump". For over9 grand every 30 days, u would think that should get ya some thing,Lol. The furniture looks like it came habitat for humanity left overs or they where going to throw it away. The carpet looks like they must change motor oil on it on the weekends. Wifi is a Joke! The bathroom's looks like a side of the road dirty gas station, sketchy. On Sundays they keep the doors locked all day for some stupid reason. So when it freezing out u have to call them in side, then wait for some one to walk from China I guess to open the door for ya. Heck no ring cam and the door bell button is gone and don't work. Almost every couch, chairs, tables, ect are or where broken at some point. The ice machine by my mom's room was broken and had brown gunk in it,so we had to bring her ice,and a refrigerator for her room, cuz there anit one that comes with it. The shower, onta there wasn't one in her room.so "bathing" would be a wipe her down with some kind of liquid and someone's hankie theye must of left behind. The food, well it sucks. Talk about ultra processed, industrial cooking oil. The whitest White breadTalk about bland, wow. I bet the soup still comes from stock from the first day they opened. Appearitly they never herd or know what inflammation is. And I sure sure wouldn't drink or use the ice cubes. And again OVER $9,000 a month,ur clothes washed is extra.place feels dirty, sticky, gross. Couldn't get my mom's windows to open, well 1 out of 2, I guess. Speaking of windows,my mom's room hads blinds. Well they where bent/or broken on both, never got any kind of replacement or offer from them. And don't expect them to tell u anything about ur love ones condition. I was way out of state for work. So I call the "Dump" to converse about my mom's condition.so i wait and waited. So I called them back again, and left my name and number. Never got a call back from them. So I called them again, nothing still. so I called the next day and the same.not thing,Now u know. Stay clear of this dive!

I wouldn't let this place take care of my dog. The issues we had while my uncle was there were numerous. When he was dying they never contacted anyone in our family so he wouldn't be alone in his final moments. I'd rate it in negative numbers unfortunately 1 is the lowest number allowed

The facility is beautiful and so far everyone is very helpful and nice. Our mom has only been here a few days and they all know her and take good care of her. Lori is awesome. She showed us around and we see her often. Mom's room is like an apartment and it is not in assisted living. Lots of activities and cheerful atmosphere. I am updating my review: Now that my mom has been here for a month, I can say that the help is still very nice but definitely not enough of them. Our mom fell twice so far in 30 days. There is a great room for the residents to sit who need watched. They don't have a dedicated person to watch them. When we took our tour of Windsor, they assured us our mom would be safe to sit in this room. They did not tell us the truth because they wanted our money. Very disappointing. Mom has been at Windsor a few months now. Many workers quit and they hired agency help. The agency workers don't know the needs of the residents. Some nights both nurses are agency nurses.
