The Evergreens is a retirement community in Moorestown, New Jersey, with a history spanning more than 100 years. It is part of Acts Retirement-Life Communities, a network of 28 communities, and offers independent living along with on-campus healthcare services, including assisted living and skilled care such as that provided through Willowbrooke Court.
Independent living at the community is designed for adults 55 and older who do not yet require supportive health services but want to plan ahead. Under the Acts Life Care model, healthcare like assisted living and skilled care is provided on campus and included as part of residents' existing monthly fee, so residents have access to a higher level of care if it's ever needed. A skilled medical team of nurse practitioners, nurses and caregivers provides medical care on site.
Residents can choose from a variety of senior apartment floor plans, from studios to multiple-bedroom layouts suited to hobbies or overnight guests. Dining options include a restaurant with a dynamic menu and a bistro for casual meals. Wellness and recreation offerings include more than 25 weekly fitness classes such as yoga, strength training, and salt water aqua classes, as well as outdoor amenities like a putting green, a bocce court, a walking trail, and scenic docks.
The community sits near the historic Main Street of Moorestown, with convenient access to Philadelphia, the Jersey Shore, and New York City. Home maintenance concerns, including repairs, lawn care, and snow removal, are handled for residents as part of the community's services.
As a not-for-profit organization, Acts and its communities emphasize a resident-focused approach to daily life, and The Evergreens campus is currently undergoing upgrades intended to modernize the classic campus for contemporary retirement living.
