I had a family member who lived in the assisted living side called "the village". The room was nice that they provided us. My biggest issue was that we put my family member in this facility because he was taking care of himself for the most part but was having memory issues and forgetting to take his medications, etc. I would frequently visit him and noticed that they would be bringing his medications around to him earlier than they were supposed to be taken. For example, he had "noon " medication that they would bring around 10:30am. I then would witness him place it down on his counter because it wasn't the correct time yet, and he would forget to later take them. This defeated the whole purpose in my eyes and if the nurses are there anyways, they need to bring them at the correct times. I was under the impression that there would be someone there at all times in case of an emergency but later found out that the nurses would leave at 7pm and wouldn't return until the next morning. I felt uneasy about this and was not aware of this when we decided on this facility or I may not of chose it. My family member also would constantly complain about the food, but I never tried any so I'm not sure about that aspect. The facility and workers is nice but we did not have a good experience overall.
