I have a Spinal cord injury so they provided me With a full size bed and then three or four weeks later they changed my room and did not bring my bed with me and gave it to another residence. whenever I press the call light I obviously need something and nine times out of 10 a random person will come and turn it off right away and will not help me instead they Say they will get someone else and they will go without helping. I will give one example. I had breakfast around 7:30 AM and the GNA that was working with me who I will not name told me do you want to get up today to which I responded yes but after lunch not now. She said you have to get up right now because I will be busy at lunch and then I have to do some paperwork and leave. I told her I do not want to sit on my wheelchair all day because of my spinal cord injury and she left my room and started to complain about me to her coworkers outside my door and she was loud to the point where I could hear her. so my sister called them And asked Them to put me on the wheelchair. So after they finished passing out the lunch trays they put me on the wheelchair.

I was a prisoner there for about 8 months. The staff is a joke and will take advantage of your condition and disability if given the chance. The therapists were good but the nurses and gna's are a joke. If you or a loved one have to go there I don't recommend the West Wing main floor. They're the worst place I've been to with the worst staff I've ever delt with. Didn't even get my left arm or hand rehabilitated. AFTER 9 MONTHS!

Nursing home ? More like A Jail This is by far one of the worst nursing homes I have ever encountered. I strongly advise against sending your loved ones here. I personally witnessed inappropriate and alarming behavior, including staff members being physically aggressive toward residents for example the director of nursing literally was caught fighting a resident in a wheel chair. The staff frequently complain about basic responsibilities such as cleaning and feeding patients and show little concern for residents’ needs. The focus appears to be on money rather than care. I have also seen staff verbally abuse residents and mishandle their meals. The facility only appears organized when state inspectors are present. Overall, the environment is unacceptable and feels more like a jail than a care facility. Not to mention there have been multiple overdoses within 1 year… half of the people that are leaving good reviews work here and do not want to loose their job…. I mean the place when completely down hill once they hired the new HR director and Administrator her name is Michelle

I met with the Activities Director, Ms Betsy today. I could tell she was very compassionate with her residents and she is well experienced in the Healthcare recreation field. She makes sure there are amazing activities everyday at Hyattsville. The residents were happy and having a great time when I arrived. Great job Hyattsville Activity Team!!!

Terrible Place!! Please Be Aware!! Website all lies!!! Hello Public our loved one was here for a short time in November this year but not for long ,we pulled her out ASAP. Being a Nurse and in the field for 20 + years and having family working for The Department of Health know this place is definitely a BIG RED FLAG here at this facility. Have a lawyer when dealing with this place , If I could rate this place lower I would do that. Our loved one came here for fracture pelvic and for PT once she arrived here she was left in the room unattended for 3 hours we had to go and find some one to see what was going on NO staff to be found, finally a staff member showed up, no one identify themselves so you don't know who is a nurse and who is staff ,but one nurse guy he was the only one in site here facility at that time , the neglect here is heart breaking no patient connection with nurse staff or administration staff total neglect day one. We took our loved one home concerned about her emotional well being . So let's dig in why you DON"T want to bring your loved ones here when you walk in the building it smells like urine HORRENDOUS!! It's about the money not proper care and the best interest of the patient. Don't bring your loved ones here they will die because of the poor services and unprofessional system. I'm shocked this place is allowed to stay open after watching the staff talking loud and joking and playing with each other while patients was being neglected, poor service here for the patients that can't get out of bed. If you love your family DON'T place your family here at this facility. This place needs to be quarantined because of its inhumane condition I wouldn't want my dog here for a stay. The call button they never answer when you use it, we never left our loved one alone here it just wasn't safe. The website and the mission is all lies just checked it out yourself the pictures and 5 stars ratings are all lies. There are some patients there with 3 to a room hallway furniture dirty cracked up and smells of urine, some patients had beds on the floor, you also smelled 2nd hand cigarette smells from outside. The place is old with dirty bathrooms in patient rooms wall paper falling off the wall, this facility will be reported to the Department of Health and will also alert all news stations as well ,on the poor conditions here. We brought our loved one food because the food was unhealthy and there were a lot of pork meals, they have no nutritionist there to cater to patients diets. There was profanity at night at the desk, staff was barely around half of the time, the staff was sleeping on the job at the desk, there were roaches in the hallways, and we also found a bug in our love one food. There were bowel movements found in the hallways DON'T bring your loved ones here. I have pictures attached to give you a heads up,WARNING this place is terrible. There is no ID check anyone can just walk up in the building no security that's very dangerous. The staff walking around in sandals or slide on shoes just not professional appearance at all. All those reviews are not true they had to get paid to write those reviews please go see for yourself not a great place for your family . I DO NOT RECOMMEND HERE!! Two nice Nurses at the facility were Miss Sarah and Mr. Adbu t
