I had a recent extended stay at Westwood Post acute rehab facility. I received very good care from the faculty doctors and nurses. The physical and occupational therapists were wonderful and encouraged my progress. I received excellent help from the social worker at Westwood Post especially Mills Dewitt, who helped me make a smooth transition into my life at home. Daily social activities were provided in community rooms. I give Westwood skilled nursing a positive review. Jackie Moncreiff

I took a friend there to visit her husband, who was sitting in a wheelchair facing the wall—a sad sight. In the same room, another patient had the television volume turned all the way up, preventing my friend from having a proper conversation with her husband. When the cafeteria staff entered, his wife asked if the TV volume could be turned down and requested the patient to do so. Instead, he became irate and began verbally abusing us. He continued this outburst for quite some time, and although a staff member overheard him, they chose to remain silent. This was completely inappropriate and made the situation very uncomfortable. I felt terrible for my friend having to hear this foul language, especially given that nothing was done. Additionally, another staff member asked my friend's husband if he needed to use the restroom, then proceeded to lift his gown and handle a urine pitcher without closing the curtain, thereby neglecting his privacy and dignity. I immediately turned my head in disbelief. This was my first visit to this facility, and I witnessed actions that are unprofessional and show a lack of care, dismissing situations that should be addressed. It raises serious concerns about the treatment of patients here. I would not be comfortable recommending or trusting this place with any family members.

My mother was transferred here after suffering a stroke. The staff is nice and treats my mom with dignity. It's a long road to recovery for my mom but I have faith Jesus will awake her from her coma and the care from the team, nurses, doctors, RT, etc should all contribute to that. God bless all who are caring for my mother!

I am currently a resident at this facility and I want to recognize the following staffs that go above and beyond. I want to say Thank you to Kay Case manager and Betsy Social worker for making my stay here less miserable. I came to Westwood for recovery after having surgery. Knowing I won’t be here for long and whenever It seems like I’m gonna break down and fall apart they’ll come along and make me laugh rather than cry. Food is typical hospital food. Place is very well kept. Even though this is not my permanent home, the staff here are very welcoming and make it feel like home.
