I chose Cogir Sr. Living because it is an attractive clean and bright open place. Everyone is smiling and happy. It gives me a sense of security. All staff and residents are friendly. We have a lot of activities going on. Entertainment, games and outings, along with exercise classes, social events sheduled throughout the days. We are a big family sharing stories and experiences, enjoying a peaceful journey. Happy environment, happy people! My family were skeptic at first but NOW are very happy for me. They call my home a "Sr. Dorm Resort". Love it!

I really enjoy living here. I feel we are all a big family. It’s nice that everyone can bring their cat or dog to live with them. Great place to live.

this is my third time with this new company and third negative experience! we called to confirm the appointment for the patient this morning at 9 o'clock for Corazon and we were told that she was available for me to see her when I arrive. She was eating breakfast and I just started eating breakfast so I waited waited 20 minutes or so for her to get started and that they got me late in my schedule other agencies other facilities communicate and tell you when patients are eating breakfast or when a good time is to see the patient and every single time I come here there's always an issue management needs to train staff better and make sure they train their receptionist better!!!!

Once upon a time in the West in recent times in a land called Fremont there is a Senior Living Community very appropriately named Cogir of Fremont, We are a 3-month old “young couple” resident among real Seniors at Cogir of Fremont, CA. We are retired over 10-year but recently for some personal reason we decided to seriously look for a Senior Living Community. We looked at 3 different facilities in the area but the team of Jann and Christine (Sales and Marketing) score the highest on my scale of Helpfulness and Friendliness. They suggested that we come in for a trial period of 3 days at one of their 1-bedroom apartment close to their Penthouse (a beautiful setting by itself). The Team must be very confident about this setup because after 3 days we fell in love: Staff members (Juanita from the front desk to Chisma, Harris from the kitchen and Dining to Eddy from Maintenance) and Residents alike (Jodi our neighbor, Al and Connie, Don and Grace) are so helpful. But after living here for 3 months now (since December 2025) we found out that the Truth is even truer (is it possible? yes): Staff and Residents are even nicer than we thought. From what I see Cogir is leaning more towards Independent Living than Assisted Living so what we reveal here is more applicable to Independent Living. 1. Food and Dining Thanks to Executive Chef Jon and his Team for an excellent job in the Kitchen and the Dining room. The Dining room with its high ceiling seems huge for the number of Residents who dine here. Not only the variety of Dishes is very welcome but is prepared with Seniors in mind since they are not salty nor too sweet. Be prepared to be impressed by the Salad Bar always available for Lunch and Dinner. Special Events (and there are plenty of them throughout the 3 months we are here): Christmas, Chinese New Year, monthly Birthdays for Residents who are born in the same month are well-organized. 2. Activities and Exercises. Thanks to Amanda and her wonderful staff for keeping us healthily tired yet happy. There are plenty of things for Residents to do here from going shopping to eat out at local restaurants (where else???) to light exercises (Yoga, Taichi, walking, Drum Ball which my wife loves,etc) and Mahjong (I am learning this new game at Cogir), RummiKube, etc. You can’t go wrong with what Amanda and her Team plan for us. Thanks Amanda. 3. Sales and Marketing Christine, Jann and Rachelle are at the heart of this Department. Stop by to see them and talk to them to see how helpful and cheerful they can be. They also know what they are doing in their field with a highly optimistic sense of humor. 4. Front desk. What can I say about Cogir’s Front desk if not for their friendliness almost always with a smile to greet guests. The one concern I have is the crackling noise from their walkie-talkie from their Caregivers/Maintenance crews. Can they do something like changing the channel so what they talk about is “top secret” that no one else can hear? But don’t forget about the hot cookies put out by the ladies from this Department. Almost forget that Jacintha happily helps us the first day we are here to adjust the remote control for the Heater/Air Condition. Thanks Jacintha. Marlon and his Maintenance Team make sure they are almost “first responders” when residents need help. Last but not least I think there are some items that Management might look into to make resident’s lives easier: 1. Bring in a Security Guard to roam around the facility from about 10/11PM to about 6/7AM, 2. There is a shortage of parking spaces at Cogir of Fremont. I don’t know what else Management can do besides not letting their employees park their cars in the parking lot during daytime, which is already done, 3. Install a PA system so any communication can be transmitted in real-time to all residents.

Is a peaceful place to get your parents or grand parents move in, the staff is really helpful with residents inside, they do have many activities everyday to integrate all the residents, they also have a biggest dinning room which looks like a 5 stars restaurant, they have a lot apartments and assistance for seniors, they will give you free cookies if you go to visit the place 😀
