I chose Westminster Bradenton for my mom's rehab after a brief hospital stay. There were many issues during her stay from her being given the wrong medication, not receiving her prescribed medications and the nurse arguing with her about it, them running out of food and food being shared amongst patients, the NP, Kim physically removing the oxygen from my mom's nose without permission, to her being discharged within 24hrs of being diagnosed with pneumonia and heart failure by the NP, Kim. As a medical professional this is unacceptable. My mom was discharged with close to 30lbs of fluid on her body. She could not walk! She was in rehab so that she could get stronger and walk. No one reported the physical change in her body, even though they were helping her shower and helping her get dressed daily. She was admitted into the hospital within 48hrs of discharge after being seen by three physicians. There's a huge difference in their rehab center and assisted living. I would not recommend rehab for anyone.

We love so many things about living here at Westminster Point Pleasant in Bradenton. We feel secure in knowing we will always have a home here and that we have access to a continuum of care. Lots of fun activities, wellness activities, educational activities and volunteer opportunities on and off campus are offered by our lifestyles and wellness departments. The dining team offers great meals and upscale dining opportunities. Our apartment has a lovely water view. The area is quiet and walkable with a fall-to-spring Saturday farmers and craft market, marina, restaurants, public library, a Riverwalk with a water ferry to the Gulf beaches, all kinds of activities (fireworks, concerts, parades, theatre, spring training and minor league baseball), all within easy walking distance (or a tram ride from our transportation department!). Tampa and Sarasota cultural, sports and entertainment opportunities are within easy driving distance. The Sarasota/Bradenton airport is 15-20 minutes away. Life is good here at Point Pleasant!

As a resident here for over a year, Westminster has exceeded my expectations. The views of the water and sunsets from my apartment are beautiful. The other residents are friendly. There are many options for being involved in activities. Wonderful place!

We've lived at Westminster Courtyard over a year. We love it. Especially we love our location on Old Main Street. Right in the middle of all the action downtown. If you're active seniors, who can still get around OK, you should check us out. We don't mind the 3 or 4 block walk/drive/shuttle to the meals because once there the food, service, company are great. My wife has jumped into activities and joined all kinds of things. I'm OK with quiet inactivity. We both love our choices. Check us out.
