My father was a resident at Westgate for 8 months. From the time he was first admitted until he drew his last breath, the care that the ENTIRE staff provided him was amazing. It was a difficult decision for me to place my dad in care, but the decision to place him in care at Westgate was the best one I could have made for him. The job the aides and nurses have is tough, but I witnessed first hand time and time again, that they truly cared about him. If (when) you have to face this decision to place a loved one in long term care, look at Westgate first. Thank you Westgate for providing my dad his safe and loving home his last 8 months. I am forever grateful.

Westgate was everything we had hoped it would be thanks to the incredible people who work there. The genuine warmth and kindness of the women who cared for our mother in her final months will never be forgotten. Whether it was the kitchen staff's willingness to prepare something that would whet her appetite, or the nurses and other caregivers being mindful of her aversion to bright lights and excessive noise, there was a collective desire to accommodate her and make her feel at home. One of the nurses brought her young granddaughter to Mom's bedside to read books to her. Others attended her funeral. I observed them from afar in the memory care unit gently interacting with residents in their most volatile states. These are the actions of caring individuals. Was everything perfect? Of course not. That includes our mother, who could be very difficult at times. But we found everyone there to be receptive and responsive to our concerns, which were few and minor. We are grateful to those who, despite the challenging environment they work in, never failed to see our mother as a vulnerable human in need of comfort and care. Thank you, Westgate.

Most horrific place, my mom was here during covid and they took full advantage of the family not being able to come in. Untrained staff dealing with Dementia patients, my mom went in with a luggage cart piled high and when we were able to go into her room finally, everything she owned was gone. Not enough to fill a suitcase when we took her out,two brand new coats that I got a week before leaving were gone. They labeled her aggressive because I found out from a nurse there that they would gang up on her and force her to do what they wanted, causing her to get agitated, instead of redirecting her. It was freezing in there all the time, my mom had nothing to wear for warmth (everything was stolen) . I had to wrap her in a blanket when I was first allowed in. Don't put anyone you love in this nightmare of a facility.

After a short illness we ended having to bring my mother here for her end of life care. Everyone that my family and I dealt with were nothing but kind and compassionate. My mother has since passed at their facility, it was peaceful, it was respectful and if I had to do it over I would again place a loved one here. Exceptional staff. Thank you.

It’s difficult when you can no longer care for a loved one, but I’m so thankful for each and everyone that works at Westgate because they really strive to make the residents feel at home. They are caring, smile at the residents and visitors, and they try to make them happy at meal times. They check on the residents frequently, take them to appointments, and are professional. We had a wonderful Fourth of July party and all the families were invited and we had so much fun! Thank you! ❤️
