No central air at all and detroit has been having extreme heat this summer. The overall aesthetic of the facility was very distasteful and there either needs to be more staff hired OR the staff hired needs extra training. Staff member had the nerve to refuse help in an emergency before discharge papers were signed which is VERY unprofessional.

My dad was in this center, he ended up being transferred to the hospital for a bedsore as large as a beach ball, they weren’t turning him and he to have 3 surgeries, long story short, he ended up passing away on his birthday. This place is horrible, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. They have not heard the last from me.

Dismal place for your love ones. The majority of the staff were rude and some treated patients poorly. The facility put on a “big show” on admission day, asking about the patients dining preferences and hobbies, then turned around and served the same unpalatable “slop” unfit for most patients. The facility was/is old and outdated with little room for recreation. There were no single units for purchase, making it extremely uncomfortable for those patients desiring privacy and personal comfort. The so called garden/ patio was about 6x8 feet located in the alley! Yes the alley. The therapy OT and PT was marginal and very brief. The post care case management referrals were horrific. Case worker did not return any calls. So thankful that my mother’s care at that facility was short term and that the insurance kicked her out after two and a half weeks. Now for the positives… 2 or 3 staff people stood out as caring. I am sure they work hard and deserve some credit for keeping optimism in a gloomy environment.
