The management does know what’s going on at any given time. The facility is very dated and needs work. Takes forever to get anything accomplished with these people.

I believe in everyone’s life, God sends angels to earth to help people who ask for help. Wesley Manor provided care for my husband. The people who work for Wesley Manor are gifted individuals, who are compassionate, skilled, friendly, and patient. My husband started for a day in the memory care unit. This is the first day that he met Nurse Holly. He was not feeling well or his usual self. She helped me by sending him to hospital, where it was confirmed that he had Covid. When he left the hospital, he could not stay in “H” wing, so they moved him to Ground Floor (Rehab). On ground floor, during the week, he had an unforgettable nurse, Nurse Carrie. I can still remember her coming in to give meds, “Hey Doug, it’s Carrie, I have your meds.” Nurse Carrie was so patient with him. QMA Cassie and CNA Danielle made him look nice and always had him laughing. CNA Mia would whistle the Andy Griffith theme song to him. Doug’s weekend nurses were Bri & Laura. They helped to keep his routine and keep him from too many distractions. The weekend CNA’s were Abbie & Jennifer and they taught him funny phrases so he would repeat it when I arrived in the evening. At first, I was reluctant to move him from ground floor to “G” Wing. He had several visitors from the floor, and he seemed to have trouble adjusting to routines. This soon changed because he became familiar with the nurses and support staff. Many of the “G” wing nurses, CNA’s, and dietary catered to my husband. Nurse Erica, Nurse Vicki, Nurse Beth, and Nurse Katie, loved on him and made sure he had his favorite TV shows (especially old westerns like “The Rifleman”), or country music playing in his room. They kept his schedule and meds consistent. The CNA’s during the week were Shone, Jessica, Jaycee, Allie, and Grace that Doug loved. These CNAs did the day-to-day care for my husband and were so patient with his needs. Doug had challenges with eating and showering and eventually couldn’t talk or move well. I can’t say enough about the great care he received. The weekend staff was Nurse Catherine. She could give his meds and would be so patient to make sure he swallowed correctly. The weekend CNA’s Grace, Maia, Maura, and Brooklyn (QMA) took such great care of Doug when I wasn’t there, especially when he was on hospice care. The dietary staff, Lanaya, Holly, Timmie, and Julie, went above and beyond to make sure my husband always had meals that were delicious and healthy. They all knew Doug had a love for ice cream, so the freezer was always stocked. The administration was on board to give Doug the best care possible, Assistant Director Ginny and the Director of Nursing, Cindy. If I ever had a problem, Cindy would get back with me and help solve problems as Doug progressed. Alex with Social Services would check on Doug, and was always friendly to both Doug and I. For special holidays, we reserved rooms in Wesley Manor to make our occasions special. Melissa with Activities made sure each Christmas was extra special with a tour to the TPA Park Festival of Lights. We can’t thank Wesley Manor enough during the final days. They made sure Doug and our entire family were wrapped with support and love. I will forever remember our days at the Manor. - Debbie

For those looking for a different culinary experience…the dining hall/restaurant is available to non residents, and it was great. Come thou long expected food? No, the service was quick and friendly. Seafood, burgers, tenderloins, steak, and can it be that I should gain pounds? Portion sizes were nice and well proportioned. Varied menu that appeals to those of all ages, and all well done, clearly a method to their madness. In all seriousness, did not know those not living here could just stop by, but they seem to say “Come O Thou Traveler Unknown” Thanks!
