There is room for improvement but all in all, my grandma was safe and comfortable here. We had a few incidents.. one dangerous one that could have ben prevented with adequate communication and proper noting from nurses. With as many nursing homes as she has been in, losing clothes is quite common in nursing homes. Each nursing home always recommends writing their last name inside with a permanent marker. The food was so, so. The rooms were better than most nursing homes we had been to. There is absolutely no smell walking in to this place. At meal times you will smell food but there is no urine or feces smell whatsoever. This was extremely important to us as we visited nursing homes that had soiled clothes stacks up on patients tables that sat for hours. Mulberry Health is one of the cleanest nursing homes I have ever been to. At the end of the day, I knew my grandma was taken care of by nurses and staff that truly cared for her well being. I mean, one of the staff went to the store across the street to buy her hair clips and headband to keep her hair out of her face. I recommend giving this place a shot, they will exceed your expectations.

My observations regarding Mulberry Health:

Over the years, I’ve had several experiences with healthcare facilities in the Lafayette and Fishers, Indiana areas. My parents required long‑term care for serious health conditions, my mother‑in‑law needed short‑term rehabilitation, and my wife’s uncle required both long‑term care and memory care. In every one of those facilities, we encountered the same issues: constant staff turnover and a persistent smell of urine throughout the building.

That’s why Mulberry Health has been such a remarkable contrast. After a hospitalization, my wife’s uncle was transferred to the Mulberry Health facility in the small town of Mulberry, IN — and the difference was immediate. The facility is clean, with absolutely no odor anywhere, and the staff has remained stable with very little turnover. The are friendly, and genuinely attentive to the residents.

Initially, my wife’s uncle lived in the assisted living area, but as his dementia progressed, he transitioned to the memory care unit. Throughout both stages, the staff has been kind, patient, and truly understanding of his needs. They are a joy to interact with and clearly take pride in the care they provide.

Although I hope I never require 24‑hour care as I age, if that day ever comes, Mulberry Health would be my first choice. I wholeheartedly recommend this facility to anyone seeking compassionate, high‑quality care for themselves or a loved one.
