Severe Medical Neglect – Do Not Trust This Facility My mother was admitted to Wellbridge for rehab following delirium from a routine surgery. As a CNA myself, I was appalled by the lack of basic care and professionalism. The CNAs were consistently on their phones and hanging out in groups, ignoring patient call lights—including my mother’s. Far worse than the lack of basic care was the severe medication negligence. My mother’s doctor changed her antibiotic after a urine culture came back. The doctor’s office attempted to contact Wellbridge ELEVEN times to notify them of the new prescription for her UTI. Wellbridge completely ignored the calls. My mother never received her correct medication until we discharged her and picked her up ourselves. For an elderly patient recovering from post-op delirium, an untreated UTI is a medical emergency that can trigger severe regression. Wellbridge’s administrative failure and lazy staff put my mother’s life at risk. I will never trust this place with a family member again. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) regarding this medical neglect.

From the moment you walk in you can feel a genuine sense of warmth, professionalism and respect. Amanda and Rachel in the front office are so kind, patient, attentive, and consistently went above and beyond to ensure my mother in law felt safe, comfortable and valued while there . She was treated with dignity and compassion. Personal connections were built on a daily basis. The facility is clean , bright and beautifully maintained. Communication with our family was excellent. Families are kept informed , welcomed and reassured resulting in peace of mind knowing their loved ones are in extremely capable and caring hands. They even made leaving a smooth transition setting us up with homecare that was ready to start caring for her as soon as we got mom home. I highly recommend Rachel , Amanda and the entire team here for anyone seeking exceptional all around care for their loved ones.

Do NOT place your high risk elderly here. The past reviews do not lie. The inconsistency of care is a red flag here as a serious oversight and management issue.

I was just informed that ALL patients landlines phones have been REMOVED from the rooms. A patient must have a cell phone to be able to have contact outside of Wellbridge. My mom is 90 yrs old with acognitive and hearing impairment. She doesn't know how to use a CELL phone. Wellbridge has now isolated her from being able to be contacted by out of state as well as in state family and friends. Elder abuse, elder neglect, alienated from contacting friends and family??? Not sure what the proper terms are but Wellbridge does not have residents best interest in mind. Profits over patients. Please take your loved ones somewhere else to be properly cared for and let others no to choose a place where their loved one has the basic use of a landline phone.

My mom was at Wellbridge of Brighton for 14 days just recently. She was well taken care of. The staff and aides are all very supportive and nice. She always had what she needed. The housekeeper that cleaned her room, was very cordial and talked to my mom and made her feel loved. They are wonderful!
