My mother is a resident at Southminster Place, and I can honestly say the care team is exceptional. They treat her with such kindness, respect, and attention to detail. It’s clear they genuinely care about each resident’s wellbeing and happiness—not just the day-to-day basics, but really getting to know them as individuals. At Southminster Place, the care team and staff don't just care for my mom, they care about her.

As a family member, that peace of mind is invaluable. I always feel confident that my mother is in capable, compassionate hands. The staff makes sure she’s comfortable, engaged, and well cared for. Southminster Place has truly become a wonderful home for her, and I’m grateful for everything the team does.

Highly recommended to anyone looking for quality senior care.

If I could give this place a minus 10 I would. My sister was at this facility for rehab after breaking her hip. She is 80years old. She fell twice and they did not have any Xrays done or take her to an emergency room for treatment/observation. She was discharged to an empty apartment with no one to Care for her and with no equipment whatsoever - no wheel chair, no walker, no cane, no nothing. The rehab van driver literally left her in the hallway of her apartment building. Had a neighbor not found her she could have been there for hours. She came home with severe diarrhea, had to be taken to the emergency room and subsequently admitted to Washington Hospital. She evidently was infected with an intestinal infection called C Diff while at Southmont. She is in very serious condition at this point which in my opinion Southmont is responsible for. I live in another state and could not be there for her otherwise I may have been able to prevent some of this. This is.abhorrent to say the least. How this facility is allowed to operate is beyond me. You can bet a complaint will be lodged with the PA Dept of Health.
