My grandmother spent the end of her life in the Von Sola Private home. She was taken care of in a way we could not and our family owes much gratitude.

Milka is an amazing caretaker and nurse. She cares deeply about her patients and treats them like family members. Angelo is an incredible Gardner and cook so patients eat a very healthy diet. My dad has been with them for 2 years now and he feels very much at home and part of their family. If you are looking for an assisted living arrangement I highly recommend Von Sola Private Assisted Living!

My Mother had a devastating stroke that left her unable to care for herself. I live out of state and was unable to care for her at the level she needed (in a commercial facility it would be called "skilled nursing"). A friend recommended Von Sola and I could not have been happier with the outcome.<br>My Mother lived a dignified, although very different, life for nearly three years after her stroke under Milka's, her family's, and her staff's care.<br>The bond between my Mother and Milka was unlike anything I've seen. The love and kindness between the two of them filled my heart and gave me such relief, being 6 hours away and unable to visit frequently. She had a large, lovely room with lots of light, a cozy fireplace and large tv, and plenty of space for friends and family to spend time with her on visits. She loved the homemade food and treats and having a dog around, as well as the rest of Milka's family. She truly lived as a member of their family in their home.<br>After seeing how much my Mother enjoyed the stimulation of being outside, Milka took her on "field trips" to local places like the Norfolk Botanical Gardens and the Boardwalk at the Oceanfront. She has a very comfortable van with a wheelchair lift. Milka also took my Mother to a Christmas concert at her church and to New Jersey (!!!) to visit family who could not come to Virginia to see her.<br>My Mother passed peacefully in Milka's home under hospice care. Milka was there every step of the way - visiting her in the hospital daily until she was released, and staying with her as she lived her final hours. It was such a comfort to me to be next to Milka in the final days and hours; I know how much she cared about my Mother and how hard the loss was for her, too.<br>Finding a place for a loved one who needs care is an incredibly difficult task. I did a lot of research and looked at many options. I'm so glad we wound up at Von Sola.

I have nothing but praise for Milka and her family. My sister was a patient many years ago. I tried to care for her myself but she needed more than I was able to give. She was taken care of like a member of the family. After a year or so she was well enough to go home to New York. Milka also took care of my mother-in -law until she past away. Her care was exemplary, she was always treated with courtesy and respect. Milka and her family went above and beyond what it takes to care for another person. I highly recommend this assisted living home to anyone who has a loved one that is in need of care!

I would highly recommend Von Sola Private Assisted Living to all my friends and family! The staff is very family oriented and extremely professional. They offer many different services to ensure that our loved ones are taken care of. Most of all they make sure that each resident feels loved and part of their family.
