From the beginning, the compassion and sensitivity demonstrated, by all the staff at Visiting Angels, was all and more than anticipated. Their understanding in the navigation of, "accepting help", and the path to an "amicable schedule" made all the options less overwhelming. The Angels I encountered gave me the assurance I needed to, "let go of the wheel", and give time to the other demands of life, health and household that are so easily ignored as, "trivial", when faced with the necessary care of a loved one. All life is fluid, and one needs to swim through it, not just tread water in it. Visiting Angels encouraged me to keep swimming, they had my back, when I needed to catch my breath. There were Angels that handled their shift 100% with independence, and when an Angel found themselves out of their range of capabilities, we discussed it openly until we agreed on a comfortable solution. Adaptation, with a mutual goal for the comfort of the first and foremost client, was always the primary concern. For me and my elderly mother, my experience with Visiting Angels was a fulfilling one. I felt the home was filled with care, compassion, respect and love. I would highly recommend their services, and add, "Creep up on the best plan, it's there, be open to change, everyone has a suggestion worth considering."
