Visiting Angels staff emphasized providing excellent care. They were very supportive of caregivers and clients and I always felt they had my back. For the most part, duties and responsibilities were made clear. Schedules were created around caregivers' availability. There could be a good amount of driving to clients' homes and sometimes hours between clients that didn't maximize my time, and schedule changes and requests to fill in could be difficult. Overall, I really enjoyed working for Visiting Angels. The staff and clients were very pleasant for the most part, and the work was varied depending on the day and the client. I think the staff worked hard to meet everyone's needs. I would recommend Visiting Angels for potential clients and caregivers.

Visiting Angels are simply amazing! My siblings and I moved my elderly father up to Grand Rapids from the home in which we all grew up down in the Kalamazoo area about 18 months ago. He is living right next-door to my sister, so he does have support from us, however, we work full-time and my sister has two small children. It’s a lot more work than we had imagined and we had no idea where to turn. We want him to be independent, but he just needs check-in’s and a little help with his pets and light house cleaning and meals, as well as companionship. I looked online and found Visiting Angels and gave them a call. They connected with me quickly, took notes, and matched my father with a provider right away. The quality of care that they give is exceptional. They communicate very, very well with my family on a regular basis. They are extremely organized and keep detail, detailed schedules and notes for us. Most importantly, my dad really really appreciates everything that they do for him. The service is affordable, and worth every penny! Thank you Visiting Angels! 10 stars!!!

The team of Visiting Angels in Grand Rapids Michigan truly extend services, caring approach, phenomenal communication and loving care beyond anything I have experienced before. Having dealt with seven years of average care providers in Metro Detroit for my other parents, it was such a comforting feeling to have a team of caregivers who really treat your loved ones as if they were their own family members. The Angels onsite team are compassionate, experienced caregivers who give a 150%. The Angels administrative team have members who are former hospice workers who fully understand the process, the challenges and offer helpful suggestions to navigate this difficult journey. If you are looking for a loving extension of your own family, the Visiting Angels of Grand Rapids will give you exactly that. I highly recommend them -- They live by their name -- they are Angels!

Visiting Angels cared for my mother and served our family well for over four years. Our visiting Angel, Melissa, was not only a helping hand but also a companion and friend to my mom. She eased my load when it came to caring for my mom who had dementia. It was incredibly helpful to have hands and eyes on my mom when I couldn't be there every day of the week. There were times when laundry, cleaning, or a trip to the store was needed, and there were times when a fun outing for ice cream or a pedicure was needed to lift my moms spirits. The communication between both my visiting Angel and me, as well as the office was very personal and compassionate. I'd recommend Visiting Angels to anyone seeking help with an aging parent or anyone struggling to fully care for themselves.

We're very happy with the care our loved ones receive. Visiting Angels has worked with us as needs increase and decrease. They've advocated for our loved ones and given family really good advice, suggestions and direction when we're out of our depths. The consistent care, and consistency in care-givers, is great. Both administration and staff truly care about their clients. Communication is easy and immediate. Visiting Angels has allowed us to enjoy our relationship with our loved ones again by relieving us of much of the physical care and the anxiety that can accompany that. They also connect on a personal level with their clients and brighten their days. Highly recommend.
