We used Visiting Angels of Abilene for five years with Mom (Susan) as her neurodegenerative disease progressed. When Mom died, she had Visiting Angels care around the clock. These women are the best caretakers and helped Mom with her anxiety of being left alone. I recommend them to my friends and family. Thank you to our "Angels" through the years: Melissa, Tamara, Brett, Debbie, Jessica, Lilly M, Juanita (who Mom called "the nurse"), Joy and Susan M, as well as the countless others I haven't named.

Every single employee has a different experience. To whatever comes your way it's your choices how you handle the situations. April 23,2016 I reapply for the Abilene Visiting Angel's and started my duty 28. Brittney Gilliam as the Abilene Visiting Angel's Director has a great leadership. She has given me a proposition that suited me well for my ability and knowledge. Although I do my very best the way I know and was trained and knowledgeable for other circumstances. Dementia and Altzhimer patient are the toughest for me to handle. My colleague are normal people. No one is perfect. However, we deserve respect for each other. I do appreciate my colleagues no matter what. YAHUAH blesses us all, keep us safe and be with us always 🙌🕊🙏

I have worked for visiting angels for a total of 5 years all together. Love the care we give our clients and their family. Very big on communication and trying to make sure loved ones are taken care of as if it was my own family. Any concerns or change the office staff is there to help as much as need . It's a great place to work and would change the time I get to have with my clients and hearing the stories about their life's.

Working with Visiting Angels has been both a professional blessing and a personal one for me. As I work with the caregivers, I’ve seen firsthand how much compassion and dignity they bring to families during vulnerable seasons of life. The training, support, and heart behind this company truly stand out. On a personal level, my own mother & I were hesitant at first about needing a Visiting Angel for my aging mother. About six months ago, we called Visiting Angels just to see what options were available for mom. I was hesitant at first and worried about the financial commitment. I assumed there might be a long-term monthly contract, and that concerned me. Later, I began working for Visiting Angels, and my perspective completely changed. I learned that their services are flexible — visits are based on how many you need, more of a pay-as-you-go approach rather than being locked into something overwhelming. That gave me so much peace of mind. I also discovered the education and support they provide, including resources and guidance for families caring for loved ones with Alzheimer’s. I have learned so much about what truly helps aging parents, and Visiting Angels is the reason for that growth and understanding. Both professionally and personally, I am grateful for what they offer families during such an important season of life. Accepting help isn’t easy. But watching her build trust and comfort with her caregiver has been incredibly moving. It reminded me why this work matters so much. It’s not just about assistance — it’s about preserving independence, honoring dignity, and bringing peace to families. I’m grateful to be part of a team that genuinely cares so much.
