Choosing a memory care center for a loved one is never easy, but our experience over the past year and a half has been far more positive than we could have hoped for. From the moment we first visited, we were struck by how beautiful and thoughtfully designed the community is. The winding walking paths, well-maintained landscaping, and especially the circular hallways—with no dead ends—create a calm, safe environment where residents can move freely and comfortably.<br><br>The move-in process was smooth, and the staff were incredibly helpful in guiding us through financial options, including Medicaid. That level of support made a difficult transition much more manageable for our family.<br><br>What has stood out most is the team’s willingness to listen and work with us. Whenever concerns have come up, they’ve been open, responsive, and genuinely committed to finding solutions that support both residents and the families who miss them. That kind of partnership has made a meaningful difference.<br><br>While no facility can replicate the one-on-one attention of in-home care, this community has provided a level of care, safety, and dignity that exceeds our expectations. Knowing our mother is in a secure, compassionate environment brings us real peace of mind.<br><br>We are truly grateful for the care she has received here.

My wife has lived at the Cottages of Lacey for five years. The staff is excellent. The units are clean and well-maintained. My wife and the other residents are happy and feel safe. The food is good as well. Family is always welcome to visit at any time. I always enjoy visiting with my wife there, talking to her friends, and the staff. I recommend anyone looking for a place for a loved one with dementia check out The Cottages of Lacey.

My mother-in-law has Alzheimer's. At home, she had not showered. eaten a proper meal or taken her required medications for over two years. We moved her to a different facility that did not specialize in memory care, where she was exit-seeking and very disruptive to the other residents, which kept us concerned for her safety as well as the other residents. So after researching memory care facilities, we chose The Cottages.<br>They are spacious and she doesn't feel 'trapped' by the surroundings. Although they are safely secured to keep the residents from wandering away, she no longer tries to escape. From the start they ensured she regularly showers and eats three meals daily.<br>Best of all, she is in a place where the other residents are on the same page with her. She made a friend the second day there, and is happier than I have seen her in years.<br>Thank you, The Cottages! I'm so grateful to have found you, and happy for my mother-in-law. :-)

I am very happy with the care that is provided at the cottages. My mother has been living there for about two years and I rest easy knowing that she is well cared for. The staff are very helpful and they do a great job with setting up medical care for her as well as personal care appointments that she needs. They are always very accommodating getting medications ready when we want to take her for overnight visits. The facilities are nice and calming and always impeccably clean. She has made good friends and the staff are always really helpful when my family visits. I am very glad that we found the Cottages.

I love the Cottages of Lacey. I've been very ill. I am grateful that I never have to worry about my mom. I know she is well taken care of. It's been a huge relief since moving her there a year ago. The staff are professional and helpful. It truly takes a great team to manage memory care patients and they have that team. The events and activities are thoughtful and inclusive. Her favorite thing is the food. She feels at home here. I encourage you to take a tour and spend some time checking them out. I have no regrets and highly recommend The Cottages of Lacey.
