Staff are so incredibly kind, helpful, and communicative, and treat residents in a respectful manner - allowing them to maintain their dignity, as they face challenges that come with aging and at times, mental degradation. My dad has found a community at The Cottages at University Place. It's such an incredible blessing to see how well-adjusted he is. **C. Hice**

I helped my neighbor transition into the Cottages and it was far better than I expected. Everyone is friendly and helpful. It’s a clean and nicely decorated cottage and not too many residents that you would forget their names. Is small and quaint. I feel at peace knowing he is safe.

My mom moved into The Cottages on her birthday last year, and we just celebrated both her birthday and her one-year anniversary there. Looking back, I can honestly say this has been the best home she has had in several years.<br><br>Before coming here, my mom had been through so much—she was in a behavioral health hospital, and prior to that, she experienced homelessness for five years. As her daughter, especially living in New Hampshire while she’s far away, it’s been incredibly difficult to navigate having her back in my life but not close by. The Cottages has given me a sense of peace and relief knowing she is safe and truly cared for.<br><br>One moment that will always stay with me is when I asked her how her room was on her very first day. She simply said, “It’s warm.” After everything she’s been through, that word meant everything.<br><br>What stands out most is their communication. I’m able to call her every day, and they even help coordinate monthly video calls. If anything happens, they notify me right away—it’s clear that keeping families informed is a top priority.<br><br>She loves walking in the courtyard, and every time I talk to her, she’s in a happy, calm place. And something I never expected but am so grateful for—she’s even found love at The Cottages and is happier than ever.<br><br>I’m beyond thankful for the care, compassion, and dignity they’ve given my mom.

Staff are friendly, the location is convenient, and the facility is always clean when I’ve come to visit folks. The courtyard is beautiful in nice weather, and the layout allows for autonomy that is often lost in memory care.
