We are currently looking for an assisted living facility for my Grandfather and started here. Just from the sit down overview/ assessment and the tour; I believe this place is great for the right resident-it just was not right at this time for my grandfather. I would highly recommend speaking with Lindsay though as she helped me through the process and answered every question I had. She is not only knowledgeable but also ridiculously friendly.

My grandmother has a 1 bedroom apartment here and loves it. She gets socialization and physical therapy all on site. She didn't really want to give up her home but once here, was happy. I should say, is happy because she is still here. They have a small kitchenette with a refrigerator microwave and sink but all meals are offered at the location as part of the package if you will. I have no idea how much it costs but it is much more private and spacious than just a nursing home and has an actual apartment feel. They also have a beautiful outside area.

We have a family member with Alzheimer’s. We tried to get him into the memory care unit and it was an awful experience. We had to call them constantly to do the assessment and they acted like they were doing us a favor. Finally after the assessment they told us that they were not called of taking care of our Alzheimer’s family member as they are more of an assisted living community than memory care<br>We then applied at a different memory care facility where they were very professional and accepted our Alzheimer’s family member in a short time

My grandfather was one of the first patients at this new facility. He lived there for a year and after a minor stroke the facility kicked him out rather than trying to assist him in basic rehab. This facility is full of lazy nurses who cause a stir if they have to close their facebook app and get out of their seats. Very sad to have such poor staffing at a very expensive facility. Not to mention promising the memory unit patients full access to the home and then locking them away in the memory unit for two years. But hey great job Hollybrook if the only goal is PROFIT.
