My mom just celebrated her 82nd birthday yesterday in good health and asked to visit her alma mater, the Villas, today to see Rachel, Sadie and her other friends. This place means the world to us as each and every one of them helped my mom and me in 2023. She went from the poorest condition of her life from Pekin Manor rehab (from a fall) to being fully able to go home, in 3 months of assisted living, in January of 2024. The Director and staff are always welcoming when we visit, and my mom may return someday. But she loves living independently at home for now. We have the Villas to thank for their incredible care and community. She regularly talks to her friends who live there and over the years, we have come to know them and this facility as consistent and caring.
