I was considering putting a loved one at your facility and was looking into the quality of staff who would be caring for my family member. I was concerned about the longevity of the day to day care giving staff due to the pay rate levels you are offering. Caregivers that handle the day to day care of the tenants are paid lower than or equal to entry level employees at McDonald's, Taco Bell, Menards, etc. yet they are expected to do a very difficult job. I know you have good staff there but my concern is can they afford to stay working for you when similar positions at other facilities offer more money. You have good staff but if they are under valued then they will be looking for opportunities elsewhere which will increase turnover and decrease the quality of care for the tenants. If you want to keep good staff you have to appreciate them and pay them what they are worth.
