Tom<br>I agree with your recent post.<br>However nothing will change until Sen. Picozzi’s and The Urban Housing Committee votes to approve House Bill 1250. The house bill will put a cap on the increases. This a state wide issue. The owners of these communities will continue their price gouging until Harrisburg puts a stop to it.<br>Unfortunately all you get from our representatives in Harrisburg is talk.<br>The residents here should voice their opinions to Harrisburg as well.

It should be listed as a 75 and over community. All activities, the pool, the club house are focused on the older folks. Feels like a nursing home.

Living here has it positive points. Fun events for the residents. Neighbors are nice folks. Your land rent is basically all profit for McKee with very little coming back to the homeowner. Rent increases by $25 or higher each year. Taxes are lower living in New Hope compared to other areas. Add this amount to the land rent and it isn't any cheaper than other places. Never really felt like a homeowner. Miss the people 😢 there but not gerbil living. Footnote land rent is now $800/month as your anniversary date starting this year. Not sure if new homeowners will be charged an extra $25 as per their custom. Current long time homeowners are moving due to the increase. It's a shame as many people loved living there. Yesterday, 6/29/26 I was informed that land rent is now $849 month. More homes are on the market at an all-time high. The aging of the houses are a factor. Taking this into consideration a potential buyer will still living here.

So…here we are again. Not even a year since last post. Now rent is 840.00. Nothing different. No services added. Just got used to paying 800.00 and now we are paying 40.00 more. They are more worried about flickering lights in the lamppost. They don’t cut your lawn. They are greedy. They don’t care. They continually increase rent with no explanation other than generic overall costs they incur but provide the homeowners with no additional service. This place is a cash cow for the McKee grandchildren.
