My mom has been in memory care here since December 2025. I feel so fortunate to have found this facility. Everyone is so warm and friendly - the front desk, administration and care team. I visit my mom 3-5 days a week and I see how patient, caring and respectful the care team is. They have a sweet and friendly event organizer who offers trivia, bingo and sometimes special events like music and entertainers.<br>The place is clean and beautiful.

I would like to take a moment and thank EVERYONE at the Villa of Rancho Bernardo. Everyone from Shayne at the front desk who always greets us with a smile, to Karlene in admissions, to all of the amazing Charge Nurses, Nurses, and CNA‘s in both Wellington 2, and the Fremont section of the building. My Dad has stayed at the Villa of Rancho Bernardo the past 78 days and we had the pleasure of experiencing exceptional service for 65 of those days at the Wellington 2 section of the building. He recently got moved to Fremont section and we have experienced the same level of commitment of care and service. Everyone has been a pleasure to work with and they have provided wonderful care for my Dad. After a 53 day stay in the hospital, my Mom and I visited 10 skilled nursing facilities around the area. We decided to move forward with the Villa at Rancho Bernardo. First off, they were able to help accommodate my father who is 6’2 and weighs over 300 pounds. Some places wouldn’t even consider a “ bariatric” patient. Their physical therapy area was unlike anything we had seen at any of the other facilities. My father needed a lot of PT to help get him back on his feet and we knew this was the place to make that happen. I’d like to give a special thank you to the Director of PT, Dr. Matt, Chris- the manager of PT and Physical Therapist Rico (and the entire team) for going above and beyond. They’ve worked incredibly hard with my Dad and have always shared with me what their plan is for the week, his progress/future outlook plan as well. There are too many names to thank because I have appreciated (and bonded with) every one I’ve come in contact with at the Villa of Rancho Bernardo. Anything that we need, they’ve helped to accommodate it. They’re very attentive to my Father‘s needs and we have been truly grateful for the experience of helping my Dad come back from a very difficult time in the hospital. I just want to share my sincere gratitude and thanks once again to everyone at the Villa of Rancho Bernardo. You’ve made an incredible impression on us and can’t thank you enough for helping my Dad. Sincerely, Kevin

My 90 years old mother in-law admitted here a month ago. I have no saying about the long term care, but for short term care, it's an excellent place. The service she received is outstanding. Nurses like Tiffany, Annie, plus others are friendly and helpful. For admission, I need to thank Elizabeth Cruz. She is professional, knowledgeable, and went out her way helping my mother in-law to be admitted into this nursing home. I saw quite a few 1 and 2 stars with the same complaints that the service is not as good (My response - you are NOT in La Jolla nor Beverly Hills nursing home), and hard to see a Doctor there (My response - you are in a nursing home, NOT a hospital).
