I wish I never sent my loved one to this place. I don't even know where to begin with what we went through. I'm not the type of person that does reviews and I usually let things go and focus on the good, but if this will help just 1 person then its worth it. My family member was in this place for 3 months amd the whole time they were here I had to get on them about the meds. If they ran out of the meds they wouldn't bother to call them in. My family member went days without getting their meds. I had to constantly call the nurses to get the meds. This was her everyday meds like heart medication, anti depressant, ect. Her pain medication was worst. I had to go up there EVERY DAY because they wouldn't give it to her unless I told them too. Almost every nurse was the same way bc the nurses were different almost every day and night. I'm not exaggerating! When things got bad for her and she needed stronger pain medication we had to get hospice involved. It was worst then bc the nurses treated her horrible bc hospice was there. And hospice had to get on them about the pain medication. The only thing good about this place was the CNA's they were pretty good at changing them, thats about it. The lack of compassion in this place is so bad. The nurses are filled with pride and heartless. I even asked a Nurse if it was hard to see the peeople die and she flat out told me that no bc they chose it! I didn't even know what to say to that!! Also, the nurses can't even give shots to people! What nurse can't inject a needle into the muscle or skin. I can give someone shots and a Nurse who supposly went to school for 4 years can't! I really questioned if they were even real nurses. She was on her death bed in pain and I had to stay up there to make sure she got her pain meds. It's sad. It really and truly is sad. I don't know how these nurses sleep at night and I really hope that none of them ever find themselves in this situation. I wouldn't even give it a 1 star. Black mold was on the outside and inside of the vent in her room, so deep cleaning was never done. I could go on and on about how terrible this place is but I don't have enough space. Just trust me you're taking a HUGE risk sending your love one's here, even if they are coherent! Lord help them if they aren't coherent at all.

My mother was a resident of Vidor Health and Rehab Center for two and a half years; and she consistently received loving, professional care. The staff made her feel valued, and the facility became a true home for my mother. Upon my mother's passing at the facility, the staff was so compassionate and caring to my mother and to my sister and me. I have recommended Vidor Health and Rehab to many others because of their exemplary care. One of my friend's mothers was also a resident and received the same wonderful care. I highly recommend Vidor Health and Rehab.

My mother in law got better care and opportunities at Vidor Health and Rehab than she could have gotten anywhere. Nicole Pearson wrote a nasty review, but I can tell you personally that even when my mother in law did not know I was there I still went to check on her progress. My mother in law was treated with the utmost respect by all workers. Some family members just want the money that they can get from others without worrying about the other family members safety and wellbeing. Shame on you. Sylvia was very instrumental in keeping my mother in law safe. Thank you for all that you do Sylvia.
