I received a phone call from the Rehab and Nursing Center that my mother was not progressing as expected and she was unable to return to her Senior Living Facility.<br>I wanted to find a facility with the right staff to senior ratio, clean with a pleasant smell, happy seniors who like their menu/meals, and a facility that offers activities to keep their seniors engaged with others.<br>I called Victoria Views and spoke with Alyssa. She invited me to come over without an appointment and check out her facility. No making an appointment with a specific staff member at a specific time of their choosing!<br>I was extremely impressed by the “home-like”atmosphere of everyone I encountered. I arrived just before lunch and was able to observe staff/senior interactions for the lunch meal. I did not feel that anything was staged for my visit and there wasn’t a push to sign any contract.<br>I spent two and a half to three hours observing interactions with staff/seniors, touring rooms (including restrooms), kitchen, laundry and felt the staff took pride in their work and workspace.<br>I decided this was the perfect place for my 89 year old mother.<br>Unfortunately, I drove to the Medina Rehab Ctr the next day and found my mother was in worse condition than I was lead to believe. I should mention that I live in Texas and my mother is afraid to fly, never traveled to Texas, and refused every invitation to come visit/stay with us.<br>She is a small town LeRoy girl and doesn’t think she would do well in a big city of over three million people.<br>If she can regain the ability to walk with her walker or regains the use of her left arm/hand - Victor Views is calling her name!!<br>BTW everyone I met at Victor Views was friendly and knowledgeable!! Thank you all for answering my thousand and one questions.<br>You owe it to yourself or your loved one to check this place out!!!
