Looks beautiful, smells normal (not sterile/gross), my grandmother said the food is awesome. Rooms are rather small tho. First time I've seen a nursing home that I'd be okay living in.

I'm writing this with a heavy heart. Anyone who has a mother/ father or loved one needing care will understand. My mother 💜 has been very forgetful and getting worse and worse. Dementia...a hard diagnosis. We made the difficult choice to move her to a locked dementia unit. We were hopeful after taking to The Vancreast staff that they would be the right fit. Being local meant that my grandma and mother's siblings would be able to visit easily. Unfortunately after 2 days with no communication from Vancreast staff they sent her to Sojurn in Tiffin because they couldn't get her to take her meds. I have been a nurse for almost 30 years and explained I would assist as soon as I was off duty. Not good enough, they sent her. After the dramatic removal of my mother they come up with excuses after excuses as to why she can't come back. It seems like the dementia unit I was so needing is a unit of mostly bed and wheelchair bound Residents that sit in front of the TV for hrs and easily are manageable. That is not my mother. She needs a purpose and duties to forful her day. She wanders like most dementia patients. Looking for her car and loves ones. Vancreast turned my stressful time into a NIGHTMARE. Not being honest and upfront. I am hoping they learn from this experience and get dementia training for their staff and management. I will be finding a more appropriate unit for my mother. Unfortunately that means out of town. I do not recommend Vancreast.....they made an already a difficult situation even worse. Sincerely, Kathy Mann

Pleased. Good Food. Nice Aides and Nurses. One thing that would help is if they had thermostats for heat and air on the first floor.

Great facility that is part of the United Church Homes. Worked here as a teenager and it made for a great life experience to interact with the elderly. Very compassionate and caring staff. Provided great service to my Dad while he was there for recovery.

ZERO STARS This place sucks, my boyfriends grandmother has fallen down 4 times In The last two months and she’s had to call home just to have someone come help her off the ground, she’s there to be somewhere where someone can help care for her and she’s stuck on the ground for very long periods of time, people there need to check on their people more. Something bad could have happened to her.
