The nurses and CNAs were not friendly. It would take forever for the night CNAs to answer the call button. I hardly ever used it. One night I pressed the cash button and it took the CNA 20 minutes to answer so I guess she was busy with another patient but when she finally got to me, I asked her to let the nurse know that I needed some meds for pain. Week, 3 hours later the nurse came in to give me my regular meds for the night and I said something about asking the CNA to let her know that I needed something for pain and the nurse said that the CNA never even let her know. And this was 3 hours after I requested for the meds. Plus I didn't care to much for the PT and OT. They didn't do much. They were more interested in department stores and what they bought on like.

The therapy staff is wonderful. The gentleman in admissions was very helpful! The facility definitely needs to work on the food and staffing. My family member refused to eat the food during the stay. I tasted the food and all I can say is 🤮 yuck. Staffing is a huge issue!!!!! There just aren't enough nurses and CNAs so the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. Finding a nurse or CNA can be difficult. Due to low staffing, getting patient assistance is difficult and meds are not given timely. Families should not have to track the social worker down for discharge planning information and assistance. Please, get the social worker a voicemail!!!! If you decide to bring a family member here, I would highly recommend checking on your family member often and my the force be with you! To the facility administrator, addressing the staffing issue will not only improve customer service, employee moral, you might have less employee turn over.

Lauren listened to our special requests concerning my uncle to make sure his experience is positive. She was so gracious and caring - we are beyond appreciative.

I was nervous at first about Valley View because of some of the reviews; but my dad has been there for the past almost two months. First in the rehab and now in a private room in the long term care side. I have to say that I am very satisfied with the care that has been provided. The place is clean, every time I go (and I’m there often). The staff is pleasant and helpful and they tell me things about my dad that lets me know they have taken the time to get to know him. I totally have respect for the people who choose to help take care of our precious seniors. If your loved one needs care in a place like this, treat the staff with respect and if there’s a problem bring it to their attention in a professional manner. So far I’m pleased and I feel good vibes whenever I’m there. My dad is pretty happy as well and my mom isn’t sad to leave him there after visits.

This company is awful !! The rehab side is ok but long term sucks the food is awful there is only a handful of CNAs that are actually good ! They have not had a state survey in over 3 years ! My mom has been here almost 2 years and they have been through 3 administrators! The DON has been fired ! I don’t see how they stay open ! Wish there was more of a choice around here , but if I was you I would not bring my loved one there !! Please find somewhere else !!
