after my 2 week stay there, I can tell you with certainty that anyone giving this place a 5 star review is either a bot or out of their minds. Staff would take 30 minutes or more to respond to the call button, the light above my bed had no way to turn off/on maintenance was told the first day and I was informed part needed ordered so checking back a week later, he said he had not got around to order it There was a problem with the sink the first day so maintence came in got the water flowing and a brown liquid came out, about an hour later nurse came in with meds and poured a cup of water from same sink so I could take them. The bed was never changed unless multiple requests were made to do so. The food was aweful, no sugar free (I and many others are diabetic) no fat free for those watching their weight, as a matter of fact everything was floating in margerine or creamed, everything was oven fried, choices when you opted out of their entree of the day was always the same... hamburger on a bun, hotdog on a bun, grilled cheese or baked potato, seldom saw a veggie never saw a fresh fruit. Their Idea of a fruit was cranberry juice cocktail {sugar water} The closest I came to a veg was iceburg llettuce with a few carrot strips and purple cabbage. Every meal was extremely carb heavy and after months of making an attempt to get my weight down to get needed surgery, I gained somewhere between 11 to 17 pounds. The building itself is falling apart and very depressing. The only positive was the activity staff who were kind and did run some things to do to get your mind off of the rest of the deplorable conditions.
