My husband was admitted for rehab he found out he had COPD he also has chronic pain as well! Walking up the ramp, the first day and seeing a bunch of people smoking cigarettes, turned me off!! Waiting for somebody to open the door to enter the building after five minutes was a little bit too much!!! Seeing how dirty the place was and how these people have to live in that environment Is not Fair. When talking to the staff about issues, it was very hard to understand. Sometimes I had to ask again and again not certain that things would get done. Every day, my daughters were there making sure that he is doing what he needs to do never seen staff come in and out checking in on their dad. Not saying they never did, but somebody that’s on oxygen all day not knowing that the machines working or not which it wasn’t, somebody had to come in and fix it and explain to him how to use it because the staff didn’t know how to do it correctly! We noticed that he was not getting any better we put a transfer in to get him home after talking to the doctor about his medication‘s and etc. etc. he was due to go home on that Thursday, but ended up going up there on Tuesday and noticed that he was dozing off tired did talk correctly after asking Director of nursing to bring him to the hospital because his vitals were very low. She denied it and asked why after explaining again she said she needs a reason. (I called and gave her a reason)The ambulance arrived and took him to the hospital where he was very lucky. Oxygen level 77 respiratory failure. Very grateful to Bev hospital to have him home with care!!!!
