My mom stayed in rehab for 3 weeks at Hathorne Hill after having pneumonia. The care she received from the team was exceptional. The facility has an overall pleasant appearance and environment, and is very clean. She even enjoyed the food!

My dad had a brief stay here after his hip replacement and he thrived here. We couldn’t have been happier with the staff in all departments as well as the delicious meals he enjoyed. He was always so happy when we visited. I would highly recommend for short or long term care. If we need to use this facility again in the future we definitely will!!

The staff is very nice and the facility is very clean. My aunt seemed happy and well taken care of. The building is on two floors and there is no stairs available for anyone with a fear of elevators. I don't have a phobia, but the person I was with does. There were a few stressed moments, but the staff was very accommodating and helped us. I just want people to be aware of this in case you are someone who won't get on elevators. Our second visit went better because the person I was with had advanced notice and was able to psych herself up to take the elevator, but she was like a cat in a moving car while she waited for the elevator doors to open.

I highly recommend this facility to anyone seeking long term or short term care. My mother was a patient of the facilities for a little over 2 years prior to her passing. I found the office support incredibly helpful - from the application process to the monthly reviews. The nurses and aids were friendly, patient, professional and empathetic and consistently communicating with me. Prior to my mom’s admission, I visited over 20 plus facilities in Massachusetts, I found Hathorne to be one of, if not the cleanest, brightest , and friendly rehabilitation and nursing facilities in the state. The setup of the rooms gave dignity to the patients. I felt like they became an extension of the family.

I recently stayed at Hathorne Hill for two weeks while recovering from a fractured arm, and I can’t say enough about the excellent care I received. From the moment I arrived, I felt safe, supported, and genuinely cared for. The nurses—especially Anisa and Sandy—were attentive, compassionate, and always willing to go the extra mile. The CNAs, including Cheryl and Heidi, provided daily care with kindness and professionalism that made a real difference in my recovery experience. I’m also grateful to Matt Halverson and the entire Rehab Department for their dedication and encouragement throughout my healing process. And a special thank you to the housekeeping staff, who consistently kept my room clean and comfortable—it truly helped make my stay more pleasant. So many people contributed to making my time at Hathorne Hill a positive and healing experience. I’m deeply appreciative of the entire team.
