Twelve Oaks Assisted Living Facility provided exceptional care for my mother when she was evacuated during Hurricane Helene. The staff went above and beyond to ensure she felt safe, comfortable and cared for during a challenging time. Their attentiveness, kindness, and professionalism created a sense of home for her, even in the midst of uncertainty. The facility's dedication to the residents' well-being left a lasting impression and gave our family immense peace of mind.

My husband's mother has Alzheimer's/Dementia and we needed more help than the two of us could give her. We chose Twelve Oaks (The Memory Care Unit) and we're so glad we did. The staff are very nice and look after her well. They have implemented several security measures for the residents safety, which eased our minds greatly. Most residents have a roommate (also have private rooms) and their bedroom is spacious with an adjoining bathroom. Twelve Oaks lets their residents remain as independent as possible within a secure unit. They have an activities director who plans all sorts of fun things for them to interact with in a big activities room (finger painting, birthday parties, playing easy games, music, etc). Twelve Oaks also has a large dining room where they are fed together, and the staff help feed those who are unable to feed themselves. Twelve Oaks has a shower schedule for each resident, and they also have a in-house area for the residents to go get a haircut. We're happy we chose Twelve Oaks because mom gets the additional care she needs. She's safe, clean, fed, and looked after. All of the staff are friendly and keep you informed throughout your loved ones stay.

Twelve Oaks has been a wonderful place for my husbands family for years. He had and a aunt and grandmother that were residents there on the assisted living side then his mother was a resident on the memory care side. That alone should say enough about how to how well the care there is. So when it became time to find assisted living for my father who lived in Winston-Salem, I looked at two places in Winston and decided that he too would be a resident at Twelve Oaks. I can't speak highly enough about the staff, the care he receives and the communication I receive from them. Would I recommend Twelve Oaks, absolutely and I have!

My mother received care there until her condition worsened to the point she had to have around the clock skilled nursing care. The administration and staff were great and very helpful. The facility was very nice inside and out. They offer lots of activities for the residents. I was very satisfied with the care my mother received while there. I only wish her physical and mental health had allowed her to be there longer.

My experience from day one has been great. Penny made the process of getting into Twelve Oaks so easy & stress free. Brittany has been so helpful with any questions. My mom seems content & the staff are always so friendly. No matter when I drop in everything is good, always clean & taking care of the residents. Cindy & all the others are always helpful. I can’t imagine how hard their job is.
