My dad spent the last 19 months of his life at Surry. He was a people person and loved PT and participating in all of the activities as long as he was able. He bragged on the staff and we saw firsthand the amazing care he received. He was treated with love and respect. The staff also maintained excellent communication with me (I live about an hour away) throughout his time there. He had rehab at two other facilities before this and his experiences were not positive. So much love for Crystal & the staff at Surry Community Health & Rehab!

It has been 6 months since my son's discharge from Surry after a long stay recovering from a severe stroke. From day one when Crystal Easter, Director of Social Services put our apprehensions at ease settling our son in for the long recovery, to the entire staff continuing to welcome him as family not just a number, I want to let everyone know the care, dedication and treatment provided here is excellent. We live in another state, I worked in health care for 40+ years and have never found a more giving, caring and dedicated staff. We made many trips to care for our son's needs and the entire Surry Community staff, residents and supporting Mount Airy community were a gift from God. He strives and continues to gain back his functional status because of his determination, God's grace and the benefits from the entire staff at Surry Community Health Services of Harborview. I recommend this caring, dedicated and skilled facility to anyone with no reservations. Thank you again Terri Hughes, a grateful family member.

I went in recently, as I am looking for a place for my grandmother. The receptionist, Brittany, gave us a great tour. She was very helpful and answered all of our (million) questions with kindness. She never made us feel like we were burdening her, and we never felt rushed. She is exactly the type of person you would want/expect to be around our loved ones on a daily basis.
