My father was placed here and nearly died due to the incompetence and ignorance of staff and the nurses here. When we visited him we found him almost unconscious, pale cold skinned, shaking, with an incredibly low and faint heart rate. The nurses refused to admit there was anything wrong and was adamant about keeping him there, if we did he would’ve surely died soon after. This place is not a place of honor, dignity, or respect, and should NEVER be someone’s first or even last resort. If any families with TRICARE thinking about putting any member of their families into this program, understand you are wasting your money and insurance for a facility that could care less for the veterans inside.

Can’t speak highly enough of the staff and their dedication to the patients at Tuskawilla Nursing and Rehab Center. My good friend was there for several months and I was very impressed with the care from the administration to the admissions director to the social worker staff and the rehab staff. The nurses as well as the CNA’s took meticulous care of her. Working in this field for several years, I recognize that they are one of the best and come highly recommended

My father spent more than two months in rehab here. The staff is absolutely wonderful. Caring for elderly people who can't do much for themselves creates a challenging work environment, and everyone (nurses, CNAs, maintenance, physical therapists, other staff) treats each patient respect and dignity. The facility is attractive, clean, secure, and well-maintained. My father said the food was good, and they have plenty of activities for the residents. I visited my father daily and rarely noticed any odors (and when I did, I could also see someone cleaning up). My father had a couple of falls (they aren't allowed to put bedrails up and he would try to get out of bed without assistance), and I was notified promptly. My father had several setbacks but the PT staff was finally able to get him strong enough to move to an ALF. Over the years, my husband and I have known people who went here for rehab, so when my father needed rehab, we were delighted that they had a bed available. We wouldn't hesitate to have him go back if he needs it, and we highly recommend this facility for rehab and skilled nursing.

My mom came into Tuskawilla for rehab after her hospital stay for a stroke. She was very nervous about going to a facility . The experience here was great! The therapy team gave her a regiment and encouraged her to put in the work. Food was good for “hospital food” About 3 weeks later she was able to come home with home health. Would recommend this place to those looking for a great rehab facility .
