When my grandmother first arrived here years ago she was in excellent care. Up until about a little over a year ago I started receiving calls about her falling numerous times a week (about 2 falls a week) and sending her out to get evaluated which is fine keep me updated, what it kept happening I asked the nurses numerous times what are they going to change to stop this from happening before she really does hurt herself, no response after they tell me they’d let me know. I moved out of town around June of last year and all of a sudden, no calls, no updates. Every time I call to check in on her I get transferred to the halls nurses station with no answer after numerous times. Just from January of this year my grandmother was sent out to lakeview to be evaluated for behavioral issues and falls with NO NOTIFICATION from the facility. The only notification I get is from the hospital social worker letting me know when she arrived and what’s going on. I have POA over her and have reached out to Matt last month stating this, his response was “she changed her contact info” okay so the facility is letting a resident that is clearly not fully aware change information while a POA is on file. Matt stated he’d look into it and call me back. After so many calls for him to call me back I still have yet to get a call back from ANYONE (1 month so far). Today, I get a call from lakeview about an upcoming heart procedure that I had no knowledge of, yet again can’t get in touch with my grandma nor anyone in administration/nursing staff. The ward clerk advised me Matt will give me a call back. We will see how long it’ll take for him to call me back. I’m over it. I will be moving her, which should’ve happened a long time ago when I first realized communication started dropping with them. update: Matt did call me back again to make it right, he did change the contact info for them to notify me when incidents happen. I want to say Matt is not fully responsible for this, it’s literally a big communication issue especially with my grandmother having fits every so often. I do give Matt his credit for helping out now and making things right. Now for them to work on communication with families calling in and getting transferred to nurses stations with no answer.
